PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT SALES ASSOCIATE POSITION

The world leader in Park and Recreation equipment has a rare territory open for a top career-oriented salesperson, to work in the fun outdoor playground and park equipment field. We create innovative playground environments for children at schools, parks, day cares and other public facilities, while offering a full compliment of related products and services. We deal mostly with municipal parks planners, landscape architects, school staff and parent groups to create outstanding proposals, with unequaled customer service and customer dedication, based on strong relationships and follow-through on commitments.

Territory includes a very productive portion of Western Washington, and requires 8-12 outside sales calls per week as well as occasional in-territory overnight trips, periodic evening meetings, and 2-3 out of territory trips/year. Good office and online support provided. We have a strong existing customer base due to 18 years of relationships in the area, but strong prospecting skills are also needed to be successful and to meet established quotas.

You should be comfortable making presentations in front of small groups, be technically and mechanically oriented, extremely organized to handle dozens of projects at once, yet still find the time to look for new business, and defend existing business. You must also appreciate having fun, and be able to think like a child; seeing things from their perspective. Our success has been based on good relationships with our customers, who rely on us for service and support. We provide an extensive training program for the successful new sales person, but you need to be a top 10% sales performer.

Minimum 3-5 years of proven outside sales and territory management skills required, and prior technical sales experience with schools, municipalities, construction and the architectural markets will be a big plus. This position is for someone who is completely self-motivated, with high energy and who thrives on developing long term business relationships. This is a very well managed and established territory, capable of six figure income generation within 3 years for the right person. Draw, commissions, expenses, and incentive bonus, plus benefits make this a unique career position.
