WHAT: This is a position for an independent contractor sales representative who will work out of his or her own home. This is a straight commission position - not an employee salaried or hourly wage position - which means you’ll be responsible for paying taxes (1099 form) on your commission pay.

You’ll be engaged in professional business-to-business sales via phone (we’ll set up a toll free calling package at your home) for a quality Internet company that makes a quality product and sells it in a quality manner with no hype, no pressure, no lies, and no hassles. Most sales will be to firms in Snohomish & King Counties.
If you’ve ever sold newspaper ads (or ads for anything for that matter) you can do this job. You can do it even with even zero sales experience as long as you are outgoing, have a friendly phone voice, good personality, like to talk with people and have a can-do outlook.
You do not need to be a “great” salesperson. This is mainly a numbers game and a stick-to-it game. The more contacts that are made, the more product gets sold, the more money comes your way. Simple as that.
HOW MUCH CAN YOU MAKE AND WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS FOR YOU? We estimate that your hourly rate, once you get up and rolling with a few residual sales on the books each month, will be somewhere between $16 and $25 an hour, possibly up to $30 an hour depending upon how many hours a week you desire to put in and how good you are at this. Everyone is different; everyone is capable to varying degrees.
We’re pretty sure though that once you build up to a profitable hourly rate, you will NEVER quit this job. We’ll get to the compensation level in just a minute.
We seek someone who can grow with us. As that person helps us grow through their sales efforts, so shall we in return help that person grow in stature, income, experience and responsibility. We believe loyalty is a two way street.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS FOR YOU? For the right person who shows promise this can easily grow into a GREAT long term position with major benefits, very substantial money, profit sharing, management and a world of perks…all while you control your work environment and hours. No incompetent boss riding you each day making your life miserable. We’ve been there, seen that, done it.
COMPENSATION: We offer the top of the line commission rate of 40% on sales payable monthly. (Many firms do not offer 40% until the sale is in the $400-$500 range.) Do the math. At 40% commission, a salesperson can make very good money.
Just 12 sales calls a day five days a week, on average and over time (you’ll get better the more you do this) should yield around 48 new paying customers a month.
Again, check this math. At an average sale of just $50 that is a $2,400 gross per month. You’re commission check from that is $960.00. If the following month those clients are still with us (and we do want happy, long term customers) you’ve just earned $960 without lifting a finger and all from your own home and without getting dressed up or commuting or sitting in meetings.
If those clients are there the following month, and the month after that, and you still have not made any other calls or done any other work – YOU STILL GET THAT RESIDUAL CHECK FOR $960.00. It is the same thing as a songwriter who gets paid every time his/her song is played on the radio. It is residual income.
By the end of one year it is quite possible to be earning anywhere from $2,500 to $6,000 a month, again depending upon the hours you put in (part time or full time) and how good you are.
CASH BONUSES & BENEFITS: There will also be CASH BONUSES for hitting certain targets and in addition you’ll receive surprise bennies from time to time such as gourmet coffee or tea, movie tickets, restaurant gift certificates, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
~ Must be computer literate and have dependable home computer with high speed Internet capability (you’ll be emailing some large files) plus Microsoft WORD and ACCESS programs installed or software that is compatible with those programs and can open and edit documents created in those programs.
~ Have honesty and integrity. We’re here to help people and their businesses with our product, not to do them harm.
~ Friendly, upbeat phone presentation and voice.
~ Must speak, read and write English at a professional sales level. If you are not fluid and smooth with your English, this may not be the job for you.
~ Prior Sales experience desired but not absolutely necessary.
~ Good inter-personal and verbal communication skills.
~ Good spelling and grammatical skills and be able to compose basic professional letters (thank you letters, sales proposals, etc.)
~ Good customer service and problem solving skills.
~ Ability to pass a background check
~ Ability to see around corners and predict earthquakes (just kidding).
DUTIES:
~ Cold call on prospective clients and secure new business.
~ Service clients, maintaining contact and positive relationships as a marketing partner with them in their business. When and where appropriate present upgrade opportunities.
~ Produce a sales report once per week (using ACCESS) showing company & person name called, the phone number and address of company, disposition of each call.
~ Display entrepreneurial spirit, offer suggestions on new sales packages we might create, new ways of doing things, etc.
~ Tap dance, sing and juggle at same time (just kidding)
