Mr. Garon died on May 1st. He was a former member of Steely Dan.
He was on a list for a liver transplant. Despite the citizens of Washington voting into law Medical Marijuana, he was denied the liver transplant for the reason that he was a medical marijuana patient.
He was alive. And they let him die. This abuse of authority must end.
I think that murder charges should be brought forward against those responsible for violating the law as voted by the citizens.
Or every politician voted out for their lack of ability to write decent laws that cannot protect the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of people and patients alike.
Mr. Garon had the right in this state. That doesn't mean he deserves a death sentence for acting within the scope of the law.
I would also question if this is in violation of Americans With Disabilities Act.
Pretty compassionate people to let him die and to kick him off the list for liver transplant.
What weak politicians we have. What an evil and oppressive society in which we live in.
Where was Gregoire? Patty Murray? Maria Cantwell?
Where was the state legislature?
Probably accomplishing nothing while pissing away money and writing laws that allow for the living to die.
How's that for Right to Life? What about the rights of the living?
