LEAN/TRAINING/DOCUMENTATION ASSISTANT
Intec is a growing company with approximately 50 employees in Everett, Washington specializing in the testing and manufacture of composite materials. We have an immediate opening in the Quality department for a Lean/Training/Documentation Assistant. We’re looking for an energetic professional who wants to be part of a growing, forward-thinking company.
Job Summary: The Lean/Training/Documentation Assistant is responsible for assisting in the coordination of Lean manufacturing and training activities at Intec as well as assisting in the development and maintenance of process documentation (process flows, work instructions, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lean Activities
* Assist the Lean Coordinator in managing the overall progress of Lean activities
* Track progress of prioritized events
* Assist process owners in organizing and conducting Lean activities
* Keep track of actions from Lean activities and help ensure that actions are carried out
Training Activities
* Assist Supervisors in developing training plans for their employees
* Transform information gathered from verbal discussion and observation into a written plan
* Assist Supervisors in creating training presentations
* Assist in maintaining an up-to-date training record library
* Help ensure that training recordkeeping requirements are being met on a continued basis
* Help ensure that continued training is being performed per the defined schedule
* Help ensure that training plans are reviewed regularly by their owners and identified actions are carried out
Documentation Activities
* Assist process owners in developing new procedures
* Transform information gathered from verbal discussion and observation into written practice
* Assist in maintaining an up-to-date document library (forms, procedures, specifications)
* Help ensure that existing documents are reviewed regularly by their owners and identified update actions are carried out
* Assist process owners in implementation of document updates
Education and/or Experience:
* 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment to include the types of activities outlined above
* Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred, particularly in a technical field
Other Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Must have strong initiative and ability to work with little supervision
* Candidates must have high attention to detail
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
* Positive attitude and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Computer Skills:
*Strong skills with MS Office especially Word & Excel with Visio experience a plus
Other requirements:
* Must be a US Person (citizen or green card holder) to work on government or military projects
* Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods, working at a desk and/or attending meetings. Must be able to use various computer and office equipment. Must be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area and talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.
Wages & Benefits: Starting hourly wage $17-24 per hour (DOE), medical, dental, vacation and 401k.
