General Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR operations and administration of the policies, procedures and programs, departmental and management development, employee relations, benefits, compensation research, and employment. Provides meaningful training and preventative suggestions regarding policies, company initiatives and changes in the state and fedral law. Advises managers and supervisors in the timely and consistent resolution of staff issues. Support our company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Specific Responsibilities:
Maintain employee handbook, and maintain policies. Recommends policy revisions based on current facility trends, legal changes, and required clarifications
Maintain Employee Forms; Hiring, Orientation, Rate Changes, etc.
Perform Employee Orientations w/ Production Manager
Consolidate, clean, and maintain employee files
Tracking of Emplyee Anniversary Files, Organize service plaques
Medical and Dental benefit program research, maintenance, and administration.
Premium Only Plan Administration
Simple IRA Plan Administration
Compensation scale research
Training of managers in proper communication of policies, procedures, etc.
Review employee evaluations for consistency and proper solid legal counseling.
Interaction with temporary labor agency, Recruiting; Filter candidates interviewing
Post new positions needed; internal and external as needed.
Gather, clean, create presently filled job descriptions
Document disciplinary procedures and implement for consistency.
Prepare documents for Employment Security Cases, Worker's Comp Cases, and Disciplinary Cases / Litigation, EEO Reporting.
Coaches and assists supervisors and team leaders in writing and delivering feedback in a manner that will motivate staff to improve while also providing solid legal documentation for terminations, if needed. This includes review and approval of counseling documentation, role-playing the delivery, and identifying appropriate development plans.
Confidentiality agreements needed for appropriate positions, and maintain
Picnic planning and other company sponsored events
Quarterly meeting posting and support.
Maintain Safety programs
Keep company compliant on all programs
Applying knowledge of Human Resources policies/procedures and Federal/State Laws giving correct resolutions in a clear, concise manner
May work on or perform special projects as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of employee relations and training experience or related HR/Management experience, PHR Certification desired
Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Law; ability to read and interpret Government Law and Regulations
Excellent customer service, communications and interpersonal skills
Excellent active listening and comprehension skills
Demonstrates sensitivity; including development of collaborative approach to resolve issues
Ability to remain calm and demonstrate flexibility in high pressure situations

Preferably manufacturing experience

Exempt position
Salary depends on experience
