civil rights restored

Beneath the Surface There are many things I have to wonder about America, and one of them has to be the bloc voting I see in particular groups of Americans. For example, labor unions provide volunteers to work the phone banks for liberal candidates and encourage their rank and file to vote for the candidate the group has endorsed. In many cases, the union members vote for the person, and in some cases, they don’t. After all, this is a free society where we vote by secret ballot. This is part of freedom of expression and such is part of America as we have known it from its humble beginnings.

While studying the groups of people who vote, whether they are white men, women, young people or seniors, I find that to each group there is somewhat of diversity in their voting patterns. However, of all the groups of people in our great land, the one group that defies this variety of voting patterns seems to be Black America. They have voted for the liberal Democrat as far back as the administration and ascendancy of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Part of this can be that there unfortunately exist a disproportionately high number of blacks (mostly men) that are disenfranchised and thus ineligible to vote due to felony convictions and they have not as yet had their civil rights restored. Black America makes up about 11 percent of the total population of the country, but cast their votes for liberal Democrats at a substantially higher rate than the rest of the population as a whole - well over 90 percent as of the last election. This requires a closer look.

Former Washington DC Mayor Marion BarryWe begin with the issue of the politicians themselves. Most politicians and hopefuls know that to get elected, they need to be able to promise voters an abundance of money into their districts, whether it is in the form of jobs, social assistance or special projects. For most of his 27-year career in politics, former Washington DC Mayor Marion Barry (pictured, right) functioned as he envisioned himself - as a modern-day Robin Hood, taxing the rich and giving to the poor. None of his administrations made a sincere effort to help those on welfare get off assistance and make them self-reliant. When he needed more money for those on welfare, he just raised taxes again and again. White flight occurred, businesses moved out of the city to escape the taxes, and except for Georgetown, not much else of the city was safe for nighttime travel.

As for Barry himself: He has a charisma factor that makes Bill Clinton look like a dweeb. After all, whereas Clinton was acquitted in his impeachment trial just under two years ago, Barry was caught on tape snorting nose candy on "Candid Camera" at the Vista Hotel, was convicted, did a stretch at Club Fed, and still got himself reelected to a fourth term as Mayor after he got out. However, that was about when his luck ran out. Congress, in an effort to keep Washington from imploding from the first-class pillaging Barry and his pals had done over the years, stripped Barry of nearly all his power, thus making him an $87,000 a year eunuch. It was at that point that Barry saw the writing on the wall and left elected office altogether a short time later.

Reverend Al SharptonFrom Marion Barry, we move on to the Reverend Al Sharpton (left) of New York. Sharpton’s main talent seems to be race baiting. His name came to prominence a number of years ago when a young woman named Tawana Brawley claimed that she had been raped by some white cops in the NYPD. The FBI came into the case as allegations had been made against cops, and an outside investigation was the most appropriate avenue for a resolution to what became a racial powder keg. When she made a public admission that said rape never occurred, just about all hell broke loose. For those who have not been to New York, the place can often be a tinderbox just waiting for some moron to pour some fuel on it and the moron of that day just happened to be Sharpton. Despite Brawley’s later recanting of the incident, Sharpton stayed on his soapbox solely in an effort to raise his profile.

Reverend Jesse JacksonLest we forget, we also have the Reverend Jesse Jackson (right) to contend with. You remember him, don’t you? He was the guy that called Jews "hymies" and New York "hymietown" a number of years back. He first started preaching about responsibility and self-reliance and for a time worked with the Reverend Martin Luther King. Yet ever since King died, Jackson has been trying to ride King’s coattails for all they’re worth. His positive message continued to be taught until he decided to become a political animal – at that point, he prostituted himself to the Democrats and in the process, lost all credibility whatsoever as a man of the cloth. Since that time, he has done nothing but preach racial divisiveness and repeatedly called for increased welfare assistance for blacks, which thus keeps them enslaved to the federal government. Such a move keeps millions of Americans from achieving self-empowerment and freeing themselves from the yoke by which they are now bound.

Minister Louis FarrakhanPerhaps the largest and most well known symbol of racial hatred and bigotry in America today is the Reverend Louis Farrakhan (left) of the Nation of Islam in Chicago. For years, Farrakhan taught that the Jews were the enemy, yet it was Jews who were working side-by-side with blacks in the South during the Civil Rights struggles of the 1960’s. It was Jews working with blacks whose actions helped bring about the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that President Lyndon Johnson signed into law. For many years these two groups have been oppressed minorities that were working together until Farrakhan injected his poison of hatred into the dynamic – things have not been the same since, and the damage will take a long time to repair if it can be fixed at all. A closer look at these people will find that there are indeed modern-day pharaohs among them that seem to be leading Black America down the garden path.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)By no means do I seek to place the blame for Black America’s problems solely on these men or others like Congresswoman Maxine Walters (D-CA, shown, right), who has been guilty of race baiting in her own right. The fact of the matter is that there is enough blame to go around for White America too. However, it is the efforts of these men, as well as Maxine Waters and others of her stripe that allow for the subjugation of their own people. These federal entitlement programs keep the government empowered over them with themselves as the taskmasters. One of the most destructive of these government programs is that of affirmative action. This was a program designed to level the playing field between whites and minorities and what it has become in effect, is nothing more than Jim Crow laws dressed up as 20th Century liberalism. It says that in effect, the black man cannot achieve at the white man’s level, and thus he needs artificial assistance.

These so-called leaders propagate the myth that the black man cannot succeed in America today because the system is unfairly stacked against him. For example, they say that whites will not hire blacks or pay them less if they do, and that the white man is trying to keep the black man in poverty - this, despite the fact that there is a burgeoning black middle class. The fact that blacks are starting to succeed constitutes a threat to these people. Their lives have been defined by the cause they have been crusading for. When they see the problem being solved, it threatens what gives their lives meaning and thus they turn up the rhetoric in an effort to renew the flames of prejudice and thus stall any real progress.

What these people fail to remember it seems, is that the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution put an end to slavery in 1865, and while there remains much work that needs to be done in reaching a more fair and equitable system for all Americans regardless of their color, national origin or whatever, they are not serving their own people any by advancing their repressive agendas in the name of self-promotion.

What Black America needs are real leaders of high profile who can truly make a difference, not self-aggrandizing charlatans who cloak themselves in a cause. There will always be problems or inequities in life. Whatever causes you may be pursuing in the name of justice or whatever else, allow it to be solved and move on to the next one. There are no happy endings, just new battles. ***

Anti-Obama Bloggers Question Why Google Froze Their Accounts (and they were democrat bloggers! ha)

Anti-Obama Bloggers Question Why Google Froze Their Accounts

Tuesday , July 15, 2008
By Joseph Abrams

Some bloggers opposed to Barack Obama say they suspect Obama's supporters — with the assistance of Google — may have tried to censor them when the Internet giant froze their Web sites for five days last month.

Seven blogs run by Democrats who oppose Obama’s nomination for the presidency were incorrectly flagged as spam sites by Blogger, the hosting service Google has owned since 2003. Google says it was an automated response from a spam filter.

But the bloggers believe that Web surfers who support Obama took advantage of a loophole in Blogger’s system that allows readers to report spam blogs, the artificial Web sites that abound on the Internet and are used to promote other sites.

"It appears that [Blogger's] policy can be manipulated by people determined to shut down the free exchange of ideas," said Carissa Snedeker, whose blog, BlueLyon, was among those that were frozen.

"It’s unusual — I’ve never heard of similar blogs of the same nature being shut down like that," said Danny Sullivan, editor-in-chief of the tech site SearchEngineLand.com.

Google said in a press release that the blogs were blocked because an automatic spam filter had locked on to those seven Web sites.

"We believe this may have been caused by mass spam e-mails mentioning the ‘Just Say No Deal’ network of [anti-Obama] blogs, which in turn caused our system to classify the blog addresses mentioned in the e-mails as spam," Google wrote, referring to a coalition of disaffected Democrats who oppose Obama's candidacy.

Blogger quarantined the seven anti-Obama blogs on June 25 while it conducted a review, a process that took five days and made it impossible for the bloggers to write posts on the weekend of a joint event held by Obama and Hillary Clinton.

"Blogger’s 'guilty until proven innocent' approach is appalling," wrote blogger GeekLove on her site, Come a Long Way. She said she felt silenced by the freeze.

"The conclusion that many of us came to was that we were specifically targeted by some over-enthusiastic Obama supporters," Snedeker said.

The bloggers believe it's part of a larger campaign to evict them from left-wing sites like the Huffington Post and DailyKos.

Google says the bloggers' suspicions are unfounded. "Politics had absolutely nothing to do with this — it was a spam issue," Google spokesman Adam Kovacevich told FOXNews.com.

Sullivan said he would have expected more blogs to get shut down if there had been a concerted effort to stop anti-Obama sites.

"I think that there’s something weird, in general, that all these were shut down," he said, "but why, exactly, is uncertain."

As a result, all seven bloggers opened accounts with WordPress, a rival blog-hosting site, hoping to avoid such problems. The other affected blogs are Hillary or Bust, McCain Democrats, NObama Blog, The Political Lizard and Reflections in Tyme.

Google said it was addressing the issue and "constantly evaluating our policies and technology to reduce the number of false positives caught by our spam filters."

"We have restored posting rights to the affected blogs," it wrote, "and it is very important to us that Blogger remain a tool for political debate and free expression."

Snedeker wrote on her blog that she wasn’t satisfied with Google's gesture.

"How’s about a little benefit of the doubt for the next set of bloggers that get caught in your 'automated spam detection' maze?" she wrote.

Liberalism Is Fascism - Dub...can't debate THESE points can you?! (you tried making your own)

Liberalism Is Fascism

As Ludwig von Mises observed, Fascism, Nazism, and Socialism are varying versions of the same core conviction: that it is the sacred duty of popular government to prevent the emergence of profits by public control of production and distribution. What distinguishes Fascism and Nazism from Socialism in economic theory is how they translate "public control" into reality.

For the socialist, it means outright nationalization-government ownership-of private business. In a socialist state, the government owns and operates the airlines, railroads, banks, phone companies, and any other business you can think of. Everyone is an employee of the State.

For the fascist, public or government control is just that-control, rather than nationalized ownership, via complete bureaucratic regulation of ostensibly private business.

As an ardent admirer of Marx, Mussolini coined the term "Fascism" for his brand of authoritarian, patriotic Marxism. Fascism operates under the principle of "might makes right," through the exercise of raw, naked governmental police power.

In America today, the increasingly rough-shod violation of constitutional rights by government agents in the name of "protecting the environment" or the "war on drugs" is an indication of how far we are proceeding in this direction.

Intellectually, fascism is far more dishonest than socialism, which at least has the courage to assert legal ownership of the economy and thus assume the legal responsibility for its functioning.

As we can see, liberals are the pro typical Fascist - they're dishonest and they want Government control of all aspects of our life.

Socialism-Communism-Democratism (Dub/Social D...try actually answering these points)

i was going to add some thoughts between the lines, but honestly...he sums up everything quite well. I hear people on this site making various abstract arguments against this, BUT no one on here can actually dispute what is said in this article. They try to twist things and avoid answering by making statements against OUR president, etc...BUT always avoid answering points such as those in this article. Why is that? Could it be because you know they are valid and true points he is making!

Socialism-Communism-Democratism
What's the difference?
Part I

George M. Haddad
June 1, 2004

The advent of the socialistic/communistic tenets of Karl Marx and their direct implementation by Lenin and Stalin has been a slow but steady political process in our country. When you read the manifestos of Socialism and Communism you are aware of phraseology which is full of hate. An emotion which is effectively hidden in the sentences which proclaim the rise of the workingman. You do not read of any love or of any real humanitarian instinct. Only the overt drive for power and conquest. The common denominators for all of the Marxian Credos has been the abolition of private property, the distribution of wealth, a completely secular society or an assault on any religion and the heavy taxation of all to the point of forced dependency on government or a governing class. This is also the present platform of our Democratist party.

Marx, in his studies of economics, tended to focus mainly on capitalism. A way of life which he hated with a passion. Unfortunately, in all his works there is a lack of knowledge and sensitivity relative to the human equation...that is, the innate human desire to create, to succeed, to possess self worth and to own.

Basically the difference between socialism/communism and democratism in today's American political atmosphere is only in degree and not in principle. As a Socialist the aim is to control; the objective of the Communist is to own; and the main tenets of the Democratist is an embracing of both.

We have, in this instant, a distinction without a difference. To allow for difference between these entities would be to allow for a modicum of dignity for the so-called Democrat party. To understand that there is little difference is to face reality.

Our history indicates that the influx of socialist thought and doctrine has been pervasive in the last half of the 20th century with no sign today of a let-up and it was possibly spawned just prior to the beginning of the last half of the past century and during the Franklin D. Roosevelt era. The seeds of the give-away programs could have been planted at this time and principally right after WW II when Russian communism, fresh from its victories of the war was emboldened to begin its stretching on a more serious note.

At Yalta, Franklin D. exhibited his magnanimous, generous and expansive nature by giving Stalin the Balkan countries. Later he furthered this atrocity by allowing the Russians a good piece of Germany and half of Berlin. He made the appeasement philosophy of Neville Chamberlain appear as chicken feed.

Roosevelt himself was an unwitting pawn to the communists at that time and possibly in being so weak to the demands of Stalin he could have been, either consciously or unconsciously, a willing adherent to the Bolshevik ideology.

He didn't stop there. He went local. This kind of fertile soil allowed Democratism to gain a toehold in the once proud Democrat party and created the vacuum which was later filled by the flower children of the sixties. And they filled it with an impact from which we are still reeling. The Roosevelt residue was the cadre already in place which welcomed with open arms these recalcitrant mop-head, pot-smoking misfits as they filled the open posts awaiting them. The legislative dominance of the so-called Democrats during this period exacerbated, encouraged and abetted their culture drenching hypotheses and destructive lifestyles into every aspect of our daily lives. They oozed, eased and seeped into every segment of our society which included the once considered standard bearing institutions of the day.

They presented us with culture shock. The Democrat party, or whatever you wish to call this hodge podge (and I prefer Democratist) is basically a coalition of, illiterate radicals, intellectual snobs, guilt ridden nouveau rich, the major unions, abortionists, trial lawyers, radical environmentalists, the world of entertainment freaks, generally the field of education, gay rights activists and helter skelter revolutionaries. This broad brush excludes the naive in these categories but the others know who they are. The average American who claims to be a democrat is carried along with the backwash of this conglomerate and is obviously unaware of the quagmire into which he has been thrown and to which he is a willing dupe.

After WW II we were warned on many fronts. I can still recall the Walter Winchell radio broadcasts and his lone voice via the radio waves. Some can also recollect the warnings of Senator Joe McCarthy who unfortunately lost his cause to ferret them out because of his zeal for operating beyond the limits of our constitutional safeguards. McCarthy did a great deal of flushing but the vermin hung onto the edges and with the help of the news media were able to keep from being swept down the drain.

In his book, The Fight for America, Jesse Friedman stings McCarthy pretty well but then admits "In the last few years, CIA and KGB declassified information has confirmed to some degree McCarthy's accusations of Communist infiltration in our government. I am not calling Senator Joe McCarthy a liar. He was right. The problem is, he didn't know it!"
James Forrestal was Under Secretary of the Navy under Roosevelt and Secretary of defense with Truman. The Forrestal diaries tell a story not often read or heard in our historical perspectives. There was also the fear of communistic spread here and abroad, the desire for a solid "World Organization," and the recognition of an obvious leftist movement of the American Press.

September 2, 1944 — In Forrestal's letter to Palmer Hoyt, "I find that whenever any American suspects that we act in accordance with the needs of our own security he is apt to be called a god-damned fascist or imperialist, while if Uncle Joe (Stalin) suggests that he needs the Baltic Provinces, half of Poland, all of Bessarabia and access to the Mediterranean, all hands agree that he is a fine, frank, candid and generally delightful fellow who is very easy to deal with because he is so explicit in what he wants."

September 28, 1945— Ambassador Patrick Hurley who had just returned from China told Forrestal, "a good many of the professional staff of the State Department had not merely been of no help to him but a definite hindrance." He went on to relate that many of the American Correspondents were communistically inclined as well as many of the people in the State Department."

July 10, 1946 While visiting Japan and MacArthur at this time Forrestal wrote that MacArthur stated he was critical and contemptuous of what he called the left-wing writers in the American press. They were, he said, playing the game, whether consciously or not, of the communists against the interests of their own country.

As you can see, nothing has changed.

The fact that we have a party in our country whose sole role is to win an election even if it aids and abets an enemy while we are at war is a sad commentary. It happened before and they got away with it. Maybe this is what James Russell Lowell meant when he wrote, "Democracy gives every man a right to be his own oppressor."
