Ken Manufacturing Company is looking for a Lab Technician. Duties include performing lab tests to evaluate mechanical and physical properties, microwave performance and cold temperature durability on microwaveable and other developmental films, pouches, and products. Performing microscopy to evaluate quality of laser scoring and microperfing on microwaveable products. Preparing lab samples or making preformed pouches of microwaveable and developmental products for customers to evaluate. Working closely with manufacturing and vendors to ensure quality and performance of new product trial orders. Maintaining and calibrating test equipment, and accurately recording test results. Assisting Engineers to develop devices and test procedures to inspect quality of microwavable products. Assisting engineer to produce trial orders for customers to test. Assisting Engineer to develop new technologies of microwaveable products and any other duties as assigned. Qualified candidate must have a High school diploma or above, have completed coursework in algebra, geometry, chemistry, and physics, have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations and unit conversion, have intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills, have 2+ years lab testing experience and have the ability to work on details and multitasks. Also on an as needed basis, able to work outside of normal hours including evening, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Pay is DOE.
