We are a Seattle-based Internet start-up looking to create a pool of high quality, engaging, and creative freelance writers. We've got a consistent stream of work ready and waiting for qualified candidates, but this isn't just an average freelancing gig--we want to work with our writers to cultivate voice, talent, and skill with prose. You'll have expected deadlines and will receive feedback from our talented editors, who will give you constructive advice to improve your ways with the written word.
We're looking for people who have a passion to write and who want an opportunity to produce new content on a daily basis. You'll be writing articles on a variety of topics from historical figures, to painters, to the first amendment--the topics vary significantly and you'll have an opportunity to specialize and write about things that interest you most.
But you definitely will not be writing fiction.
We want consistency. If you're looking to write one or two articles a week then this probably isn't for you. You must be dedicated and able to produce thoughtful writing on tight deadlines. This project will last for approximately four months.
