A fast-growing company in Reston, VA is looking to hire a mid-to-senior level Javascript frontend developer.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of in-depth experience using Javascript to build web-based rich client interfaces. We're looking for someone that is enthusiastic about new web technologies, who's excited about working closely with a small group of developers, who enjoys taking ownership of their work, who wants to help us think about and design new software solutions, who wants to introduce new technology ideas, and who wants to learn.
US citizenship is required.
Candidates should have extensive experience in the following technical areas:
* Javascript language - including a detailed understanding of OO javascript, closures, and event-driven programming.
* Browser objects (window, DOM, etc.)
* XML (+XHTML), XPath, XSLT
* CSS
Candidates should have experience with the following tools or technologies:
* Object-oriented development
* Javascript frameworks such as ExtJS, Dojo, jQuery.
* Testing methodologies and/or frameworks (e.g. jsunit, selenium, etc.)
* Documentation of source code with JSDoc or jsdoc-toolkit
* Web application backend development technology (e.g. PHP, RoR, Python, Java, etc.)
* Basic RDBMS concepts
Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have experience or familiarity with (any of) the following:
* Adobe Flex
* XUL/XPCOM
* Webkit
* Python, PHP, Ruby, Java, C#
* Build systems (e.g. Ant, NAnt, Phing, Paver, Rake)
* RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL, Mysql, MSSQL)
