thePlatform helps content providers, broadband media sites, and mobile businesses solve their unique media publishing requirements. Our products provide content providers, broadband media sites and mobile businesses the versatility to easily build a unique broadband video channel for any medium including their site, affiliate sites, mobile phones and even off-line playback from PCs.
This position offers a tremendous opportunity to influence the next generation of interactive media applications. The role provides unlimited creativity in bringing the latest Flash techniques to market in a large-scale consumer setting. Responsibilities
• Build Flash components for digital media applications in collaboration with development teams.
• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved in iterative software development cycles.
• Ensure a high level of communication among development team members
• Influence Unit Testing and automated acceptance tests
Requirements
• At least 5 years experience in web application design and development.
• Expertise with ActionScript 3.0
• Programming principles including object-oriented design and client-server interaction
• An intuitive sense for user interface design
• Knowledge of leading-edge technologies such as ActionScript 3.0, Flex 2.0, Air
• Understanding of Web Services (SOAP, JSON, XML, WSDL)
• Experience creating multimedia applications, integrating Flash Video (Flash Media Server), Windows Media, Quicktime
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies – DHTML, AJAX
• Ability to integrate different technologies into a component-based framework
• Strong creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, exposure to Graphic Design coursework a plus.
