Job Description:
Our creative corporate client is seeking a back-end PHP developer for an immediate long-term freelance opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background as a web developer (at least 3-5 years) and will have experience working on large scale (Enterprise) PHP sites.
Essential Skills:
Creating and maintaining server back-end scripts/tools using PHP, SQL and other programming languages.
* Strong MySQL and PHP skills (Joins, Unions)
* Extensive experience of working with Symfony or other framework – CakePHP, Code Ignitor, Zend etc.
* Extensive experience of using the UNIX/Linux command line.
* Extensive experience of using SVN or other version control systems (Bazaar, Git, CVS).
* An understanding of how to configure and administer Apache and MySQL
* An understanding of common back-end performance issues.
