Car Toys is a west coast based regional retailer of mobile electronics and wireless products and services. Car Toys also owns Wireless Advocates, a subsidiary which is the exclusive national operator of wireless kiosks in Costco Wholesale, Car Toys is seeking a Web Developer - Ecommerce, a new position within our organization. Car Toys is an acknowledged leader among specialty retailers of mobile electronics and wireless products that has evolved in developing new distribution channels.
Primary Responsibilities
This position, reporting to Director of Online, provides Web development, database design & maintenance, software architecture and application monitoring for the company’s ecommerce platforms. The position also manages the offshore development teams of the company.
Requirements
•Minimum age of 18
•Authorization to work in the U.S.
•Bachelor's degree prefer Computer Science or a related field
•5 years of Web application development experience
•Directly responsible for execution and management of business objectives
•Demonstrated leadership, communication and time management skills
•Proven ability to collaborate and interact effectively with internal and external customers
•Experience successfully negotiating contracts

•Web application development experience with demonstrated understanding of Web technologies and tools, including, but not limited to:
-Adobe Cold Fusion
-Ajax / JavaScript
-Java/J2EE
-Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL
-Web Services
-XML
-CSS
-HTML
•Subversion / Source code control
•An ability to employ industry best practices in support of agile software development methodologies in a traditional dev, test and stage environment
•Proven experience designing intuitive and easy-to-navigate web-based user interfaces
•Proven development of Ajax-enabled, interactive user interfaces
•Experience with common Cold Fusion application frameworks
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels, including both technical and non-technical personnel
•Proven adaptability to adjust to changing requirements or assigned tasks
•Ability to provide leadership to junior team members
•Ability to work well under stressful conditions, meet unpredictable deadlines
