<description><![CDATA[Food Lifeline, Washington's largest hunger relief organization, is seeking a Class A relief driver to support our various food donation programs while maintaining positive and professional relationships with donors and agencies, ensuring quality and safety of food, representing Food Lifeline in a positive light to donors, agencies and the general public.  This position is also responsible for meeting the needs of the Warehouse and Product Recovery Center on a designated basis and this may include a variety of hands-on, non-driving functions. Essential Functions:
<br>

<br>
1.	Pick up food from donors and deliver it to recipient agencies or to the Food Lifeline Warehouse in a timely and efficient manner.
<br>
2.	Adhere to the specific training requirements for each of the designated routes.
<br>
3.	Maintain accurate records of donations and distribution while completing other paper work including donor and agency receipts, vehicle maintenance and mileage logs.
<br>
4.	Evaluate and screen products for quality using food safety guidelines and ensure that all potential products are secured by making inquiries regarding product that might be available for donation from current donors.
<br>
5.	Maintain equitable distribution by offering product to all agencies.
<br>
6.	Inform agencies of appropriate handling of donated items.
<br>
7.	Provide excellent customer service.  Develop and maintain positive working relationships with donors and agencies. Communicate with Program Coordinator as needed to advise of delays or rescheduling.
<br>
8.	Use good judgment in prioritizing donor pick-ups and accepting donations.
<br>
9.	Maintain open and honest communication with Program Coordinator and Transportation Manager in order to maximize efficient use of program resources and promote donor solicitation.
<br>
10.	Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of vehicles and equipment as required. 
<br>
11.	Assist the main warehouse and Product Recovery Center with manual labor, routine clerical work, shipping and receiving, order picking and housekeeping duties as assigned.
<br>
12.	Other duties as assigned.
<br>

Qualifications:
<br>

<br>
1.	Valid Class A, CDL license and good driving record.
<br>
2.	Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
<br>
3.	Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
<br>
4.	Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
<br>
5.	Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
<br>
6.	Ability to plan and follow-through.
<br>
7.	Washington State Food Handler’s permit or the ability to attain one within one week of hire, and an understanding of food safety issues.
<br>
8.	Ability to lift at least 70 pounds repeatedly.
<br>

JOB SUMMARY<br>
The Senior Shuttle Coordinator is responsible for answering and logging calls, client intake and<br>
assessment; information and referral; scheduling and preparing daily manifests, and dispatching,<br>
updating and assisting van drivers via radio to ensure effective service delivery.<br>
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
Answer and respond to all incoming calls, effectively communicating in a clear, courteous and<br>
professional manner with drivers, clients, nutrition site managers, other service providers and the<br>
general public; assist clients in the assessment of transportation needs. Obtain accurate<br>
information from the client or the client’s advocate about the need for transportation in order to<br>
prioritize ride requests and provide demographic data to funding sources. Provide information<br>
and referral for other community transportation resources; create and confirm accurate<br>
electronic bookings of client trip requests using Trapeze scheduling software. Ensure fast and<br>
accurate entry of data in the transportation computer system. Help compile all information to<br>
accurately complete monthly reports as required by funding sources; prepare daily driver<br>
manifests, ensuring all trips are efficiently routed for next day operations, and coordinate client<br>
pickup times with nutrition site managers. Keep routes updated, ensuring that all additions and<br>
cancellations are relayed to the drivers in a timely manner; effectively communicate with drivers<br>
via NEXTEL radio. Document all incidents and accidents, ensuring follow up and investigation<br>
by Senior Shuttle Supervisor. Assist in finding coverage for routes in the event of an ill or noshow<br>
driver or if a van breaks down; drive a route if needed; communicate any problems or<br>
scheduling issues to the Supervisor as they arise; demonstrate an eagerness to learn and enhance<br>
skills that promote cultural competence; participate in events related to understanding<br>
institutional racism and building cultural competence; other duties as needed, assigned or<br>
required.<br>
QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty<br>
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or<br>
abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities<br>
to perform the essential functions.<br>
1. BA in related field and one year of call-taking or dispatching experience. Or four years of<br>
call-taking or dispatching experience may substitute for degree.<br>
2. Two years paid or volunteer experience providing services to older people is desired.<br>
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to relate well on the<br>
telephone with older persons.<br>
4. Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.<br>
5. Proficient in computer skills in Access, Word and Excel required. Experience with Trapeze<br>

6. Knowledge of community transportation resources available for older persons is desired.<br>

Responsible for leading the outlet facility team in the daily operations, personnel management, financial reporting, receiving and shipping, processing, storage, shipping, record keeping, recycling and safety regulations directly related to a store.

Essential Functions

Ensure all warehouse and storage processes meet daily requirements

Ensures product flow and service are maintained daily, determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow

Manages warehouse, salvage, operations and facility budget
<br>
Select, train, and direct the activities of employees, setting expectations to provide an efficient, congenial, cost effective work force.  Promotes productivity by following up with employees on work results.

Plans and implements warehouse and storage layout according to raw and salvage inventory and supplies needed.
<br>
Works effectively and communicates with Goodwill departments as needed.
<br>
Complies with all Goodwill policies and safety procedures, ensures that the building and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazard, and that safety procedures are understood and followed by all employees

Maintains equipment according to recommend procedures and policies
<br>
Schedules and maintains periodic inventories
<br>
Contracts, works and reports outside vendors for services and/or supplies not provided by headquarters with in company policy
<br>
Interview, assist with hiring, evaluate and discipline employees
<br>
Resolves workplace problems by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity
<br>
Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information
<br>
Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments
<br>
Holds regular departmental meetings
<br>
Ensures GII compliance and updates
<br>
Must be cross trained in all areas of the Outlet retail operations
<br>
Ensure the maintenance of all mechanical equipment according to recommended procedures
<br>
Works in tandem with Regional Manager and Director of Transportation to ensure quality service to all stores and donation sites

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements
<br>
Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent. College degree preferred.
<br>

<br>
Experience:  
<br>
3 years experience leading team in warehouse environment
<br>
Knowledge of production and warehouse facilities required
<br>
Experience with basic accounting practices and bookkeeping
<br>
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
<br>
Customer Service skills	 
<br>

<br>
Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses:

Valid WA Driver’s license

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Transportation Team in evaluating drivers, routes and delivery locations in regards to safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.  Will be instrumental in training and developing drivers and dispatchers in achieving maximum performance in safety and service to our customers.  Will make recommendations to improve overall department efficiency.<br>

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
<li>	Perform driver ride-alongs evaluating driver, route, customer, and various other transportation functions.
<li>	Act as a liaison between drivers and management to identify and resolve potential barriers which impact ability to operate efficiently and productively.
<li>	Perform route coverage as needed.
<li>	Train new and existing drivers in the areas of: Customer service/expectations, Pre/post trip inspections, Paperwork, Delivery expectations, Safe driving, and UNFI processes and procedures
<li>Conduct driver road tests for delivery driver candidates.
<li>Adhere to D.O.T. compliance.
<li>	Any and all other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
<li>1.	Must have a valid Class A CDL.
<li>2.	Accident free for two (2) years
<li>3.	Ability to comprehend and understand company policies and procedures
<li>4.	At least five (5) years tractor trailer operation.
<li>5.	Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that will include nights, days, and weekends.
<li>6.	Must be able to excel in teaching and job coaching.

-Display a professional posture and post-up in designated area on front drive or curb area, ready to assist guests.<br>
-Maintain an aggressive awareness of the front drive/curb area and look for opportunities to initiate service.<br>
-Promptly greet all vehicle passengers that arrive to the front drive by opening all occupied vehicle doors and offering them a warm and sincere welcome.<br>
-Open and close all vehicle doors for guests/visitors arriving/departing the hotel.<br>
-Obtain guest/visitor name and inquire as to the nature of their visit.<br>
-Inform guests/visitors of parking services and fees, issue a claim ticket, direct them to their intended destination and offer an appropriate closing comment.<br>
-Offer luggage assistance as needed or requested.<br>
-Inspect the exterior of each incoming vehicle and note any damage on the ticket.<br>

-Safely run/jog to and from parking areas when retrieving and parking vehicles.<br>
