Title/Position: Lead Building Engineer
Department: Property Management
Direct Report: Chief Engineer
Reports To: Property Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Respond to and repair or coordinate the repair of the following: Tenant work orders, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors and hardware, restroom and kitchen fixtures and other miscellaneous issues. Perform special projects such as painting or pressure washing as requested.
Must demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of HVAC and Eletrical Systems, automated Energy Management Systems, Fire Alarm and Life Safety systems, critical Tenant lab and server room environs, Security Access Systems and Video Surveillance Systems.
Supervise and/or coordinate equipment maintenance with vendors and contractors.
Hold and maintain a current 07 electrical license. Take continuing education classes as applicable.
Perform regularly scheduled equipment preventative maintenance as directed and coordinate record keeping via automated system.
Perform regularly scheduled building inspections and report on your findings.
Respond to emergencies during business hours and after hours (cell phone, pager, etc).
Provide as primary back-up for the Chief Engineer.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of building engineer experience for Class A office buildings.
