"The Curse of Duncan Carbunkle", a low-budget independent feature film scheduled to shoot in January and February is currently looking for actors.
Synopsis:
His whole life, Duncan Carbunkle believed that he was cursed. Now he's dead. Delores - a young woman who was romantically involved with both Duncan and his best friend Alan - reads aloud a manuscript written by Alan, which was "to be opened in he event of Duncan's death". Alan however, is mysteriously absent. Through the manuscript we learn the story of Duncan and Alans friendship, Duncan's belief in his curse, and the final cause of Duncan's death. Was Duncan really cursed and destined to die or was it his belief in it that led to his decline?
We are currently casting for the following roles:
Duncan: Late teens, early 20's. Standard hieght and build, dark hair. Duncan is of standard intellegence but sometimes has trouble expressing himself. He lacks connection to the phsyical world and others, very much functioning internally and using his beliefs to explain his shoddy luck through life. His way of expressing himself comes through playing music (specifically the bass guitar - any music experience is a plus).
Alan: Late teens, early 20's. Tall, decently build, light hair. Alan is charismatic and intellegent - often using large words that Duncan struggles to understand. He is very much in touch with the phsyical world around him and is quite socially adept. He very much cares for his best friend and believes that Duncan is better off without his outlandish idea of the curse - he constantly tries to convince Duncan that it is nothing more than a fiction.
Delores: Early 20's. Standard hieght and build, attractive. Delores is both intellegent and extremely artistic. These things are what attract her to Duncan and later, Alan. She is very much aware of her surroundings, but is more tolerant of Duncan's beliefs.
Grandfather: Elderly. Duncan's grandfather - he is the one who passes on his knowledge and beliefs about the curse to Duncan.
