Job Title: Help Desk Technician
Starting Date: Immediate
Starting Pay: $10-12 hr. DOE (start)
Job Description:
Atlas Networks is focused on the managed services/server industry. The company offers a diverse product set including hosted mail server applications, software as a service offerings, and managed/dedicated servers. The company currently has a small intimate team and is based in Seattle with two data centers locally and a third in Suncadia (Cle Elum). Atlas Networks is run and managed by a team with extensive industry experience and significant business backgrounds.
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for assisting Sr. Systems Administrators with the administration of the companys and client's servers as well as being the first point of contact for general client technical assistance. Areas of responsibility include resolving client support request, assembling and testing servers in the data center, and helping System Admins. The Help Desk Technician is expected to have a solid understanding of email clients (such as Outlook), a general understanding of email systems, DNS, and proficient skills in navigating the internet. Additional responsibilities include:
Taking after hours call on a rotating schedule (very light)
Inventorying servers and infrastructure
Managing support tickets and resolving client issues
Assist in the creation of knowledge base articles
Job Skill Requirements:
Solid knowledge of the web, mail servers, firewalls, routers, DNS, SMTP preferred
Excellent communication skills
Organized and efficient
Ability to work closely with others
Attention to detail
An interest in technology and a hunger for learning excellent opportunities for growth
