Job Title: IT Systems Engineer
Position reports to: Director, IT
Location: Lacey, WA
CSG (www.csgchannels.com) delivers scalable channel partner communication and relationship management services, focused on turning channel partnerships into revenue-generating opportunities for our clients. We help high technology businesses communicate with their distributors, value-added resellers, and systems integrators to: increase revenues from indirect channels, achieve greater channel partner satisfaction, and increase partner populations.
Position Summary:
This position requires an individual who has a desire to learn, think outside of the box, and be a strong team player. The ideal candidate should expect to experience new technologies and quickly apply this knowledge in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
This position requires an initial one to two month training period working out of our Redmond, WA office and Tacoma, WA Data Center. When our new call center in Lacey, WA is opened in early 2010, this position will be based out of the Lacey office. This position will provide the early morning 5:30am – 2:00pm shift to support call center operations. Additionally, there will be travel to our downtown Tacoma datacenter.
Required Qualifications:
• Proficient in Windows Operating Systems (2000 - 2008 R2 Server)
• Active Directory Administration
• Exchange Server 2007
• Basic understanding of Fibre SAN systems, HP or Compellent a plus
• Debian and/or other Linux distros.
• Proficient in scripting in PHP, Perl, or VBS.
• Hyper-V and/or other virtualization servers
• Experience with Asterisk / Trixbox
• Proficient at writing and updating documentation
• Ability to handle situations in a calm, effective manner
• Must be a team player, and very self motivated
• Easily converse with all levels in an enterprise organization
• Adhere to CSG’s core values of Integrity, Service and Professionalism
• Must work the 5:30am – 2:00pm shift with 24/7 on call availability
Desired Qualifications:
• Microsoft Failover Clustering
• SQL 2000 – 2008 / MySQL
• Understanding of network routing and layer 2/3 protocols
• Basic Cisco IOS experience
• Understanding of network transport circuits, T1/DS3, etc. Including MPLS
• Basic Programming knowledge
