This computer served as my "work" system at home and wasn't ever used very hard. Just the usual Office stuff with some Internet browsing. We've had this Gateway laptop for several years now, but it is finally crying out for a little repair job and we have other computers in the house, so off it goes to a new home! Right now, it won't boot to Windows (XP Pro is loaded). I get the message PXE-E61, media test failure upon booting, so the hard drive might be bad. In addition to XP Pro, this computer comes with Office 2003 Pro installed. The software alone is worth more than I'm asking for this computer. It also has 512 MB RAM, which is the max for this machine. The battery is dead and isn't chargeable, so you'll need to run with the adapter (included in sale). Also, the right shift key on the keyboard has come loose and doesn't work.

I have a pretty nice dell C840 laptop for sale. The only reason I am selling this is becuase I have 2 other laptops and a desktop and just dont need it. As I said the machine is fairly loaded. It has a 2GHZ Pentium 4-M Processor, 1 gig ram, a 40 gig hard drive, a cdrw/dvd combo drive. It does have built in wireless. It also has a really nice 15 inch UXGA Screen, which means the screen displays 1600x1200 pixels, also I have three sets of working batteries for the machine as well, and it averages about 3 hours per set, depending on how it is used. The only thing wrong with the machine is that it has a few scuffs from the keyboard touching the lcd, other than that it is in pretty good condition.

I am looking for an old laptop to practice with LINUX/UNIX. The machine that will work for me will have these minimum requirements...

45 min battery life

I don't know what happens to old laptops usually, but if you have one sitting around in the closet or something why not let it be put to use?

weighing only at 2.76 lbs with sony's x-brite technology 11.1 screen, this machine shows very clean lcd display and is very portable.

with a 1.3 gb centrino processor, battery life is atleast 5hrs. i have gone up to 7 hrs before, and it have 1gb of ram as well. it also has an SD card reader, memory stick reader, bluetooth enabled, AND a DVD burner.

the condition is NEARLY NEW. i only used this laptop for a month. please look at the pictures, they are the actual laptop. the laptop looks gorgeous and is in very very good condition. it's not new, but almost there...

the laptop will come with a TX box. the box is a little torn up. but that does not reflect the condition of the laptop.

This is about 7 months old. Still has Toshiba Warranty. It was recently fixed under warranty. It has a new motherboard, Power Unit and keyboard. I have the paperwork.

Anyways this has a 120 Gig HD, 1 gig of ram, 173GHz Pentium Dual-Core, DVD burner and CD burner, 15' glossy screen, running Vista Home Ultimate. Nice fast wireless etc...

This comes with adapter and Toshiba install/driver disks.
