Make-up Artist - Red Door Spa
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides make-up applications and retail sell-through to customers. Displays extensive knowledge of make-up products and application procedures. Develops and implements effective retail selling strategies and promotional activities. Responsible for merchandising and stock control needs of retail area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides makeup application consultation, evaluate client’s skin tone and other features to determine the most appropriate make-up products and color scheme. Assists clients in the selection of additional retail products or services as appropriate.
* Performs make-up applications for clients in a professional manner, in accordance with established procedures.
* Assists in planning and organizing retail counters and displays for the retail area, according to plan-o-gram.
* Maintains clean work area and ensures all work instruments are sanitized. Ensures make-up station is in accordance with Elizabeth Arden standards.
* Maintains 80% retail sales to service (make-up application) sales.
* Participates in promotional activity to build current guest loyalty and/or attract new guests. Activities include the provision of complimentary services and educating guests on available promotions & programs (e.g., series sales, retail sales, etc.).
* Accountable for stocking, ticketing, merchandising, displays and organizing a classification or set of vendors (i.e. hair products, color products, Arden products, etc.).
* Writes re-orders and maintain stock levels on all testers for retail area. Performs or assists the Retail Business Manager in various functions, including, reordering color SKUs to maintain a 12-week supply and performing cycle counts of inventory to maintain system accuracy.
* Custom-color (if applicable):
* Tracks unit sales daily to achieve weekly goals;
* Writes reorders and maintain stock levels on all supplies for custom color machine;
* Reports sales (weekly) to Home Office.
* Participates in make-up meetings as scheduled.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in make-up/cosmetics field and/or retail sales.
* Extensive knowledge of Elizabeth Arden cosmetics and other products.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication (English speaking) ,customer-service and presentation skills. .
* Team player with strong selling skills.
* Self-motivated to work independently with little or no direction.
* Physical mobility to perform stocking and inventory procedures, (lifting boxes and other products, weighing 25 or more lbs.)
* Must stand on feet for a prolonged period of time.
*Must have WA Esthetics license
* Flexible, reliable, and available to work various schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
