Job Description
Software Engineers in all tiers (UI, Mid-Tier, and Backend) are needed to assist in the development efforts of a web based application. Candidates will be responsible for designing, coding, delivery, and maintenance of our commercial ASP application. This position requires .NET skills, solid team experience, as well as experience designing and documenting systems. These positions will work at the direction of the Director of Product Engineering and in concert with all other teams, to provide world-class ASP services.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience implementing medium to large scale technical solutions, possess exceptional communication skills, and possess the ability to meet aggressive timelines.
Primary day-to-day duties also include activities such as:
* Work with the Product Management team to ensure technical solutions meet business need
* Work with Product Engineering team to scope projects
* Provide Production troubleshooting as needed
* Ensure proper technical documentation of product features
* Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities include defect tracking, issue resolution, and enhancing internal process and procedures.
Expected Travel
Occasionally, local travel in the Seattle area during normal business hours may be required. Regional, national, international, and/or overnight travel is not anticipated.
Qualifications
* Experience programming Internet-based software
* Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously
* Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with various levels of clients and customers
* Experience with programming Windows applications
* Object Oriented Design and Development
* Experience in Windows development environment
* .NET, C#, XML, SQL Server, MSMQ (MS Message Queue)
Technical Skills
The mission critical technical and strategic leadership demands of the Software Engineer positions require broad, hands-on skills in the following areas:
* .NET, C#, ASP.net, SQL Server, MSMQ (MS Message Queue), etc.
Additional Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities include defect tracking, issue resolution and working with the Product Engineering team to enhance internal processes. Other responsibilities may be assigned as company needs require and/or upon approval of employee's request.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
