This position partners with the SharePoint Administrator and portal business analysts to design, develop, customize and support
the SharePoint Portal. The SharePoint Portal solutions involve integration with firm enterprise applications and data,
aggregation of content and collaboration, search, workflow, forms, and personalization.
Develop custom SharePoint solutions and SharePoint integrations with firm enterprise systems,
firm data, and/or third-party applications that meet the functional and information requirements of
the user community.
• Gather requirements and translate them into SharePoint sites and workflow, and integrate
content with SharePoint to include content management, content indexing, personalization, and
workflow.
• Partner with users to refresh and evolve existing SharePoint content to ensure consistency of
data, links, and processes.
• Integrate existing firm-wide applications, databases, and other data sources with the SharePoint
Portal.
• Integrate third-party SharePoint applications/plug-ins and/or web parts within the existing
SharePoint environment.
• Research third-party SharePoint software solutions/plug-ins and web parts, assessing their
feasibility, and make recommendations in support of firm/department Portal initiatives and needs.
• Prepare technical and user documentation for developed applications and/or web parts.
• Develop and implement standards and guidelines covering application development and
deployment within the Portal including version control, testing procedures, and security protocols.
• Partner closely with the SharePoint Administrator in transitioning enhancements from the test to
production environment; assisting with support of the production environment as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint Portal issues.
Qualifications
• BA or BS degree required; certification in SharePoint development (MCTS) a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with development of portal and collaborative applications required.
• 2+ years experience developing applications using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
