Looking for a female roommate December/January (U-District)
I'm looking for a female roommate to share an apartment with in the U-District starting in mid-December or the beginning of January. I know it's a bit early to be looking, but I'd like to find someone beforehand so we can get to know each other and have time to look for an apartment together if possible.
Me:
-I am a 21 year-old female. Right now I am a student at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia. I plan to transfer to UW starting winter quarter '09, after completing my ATA in Computer Programming. (I will still be moving to Seattle even if I do not get into UW)
-I am a checker at Safeway, and I may simply switch stores to keep my same pay/seniority when I move or I might get another job since I will have a degree.
-I am pretty quiet when it comes to living situations. I don't really like to go to/have parties more than a couple times a year. I like to read, listen to music, (Mostly alternative) watch movies and do random stuff on the computer. Despite being a computer geek, I also like clothes shopping and other girly things.
-I sometimes let clutter build up around the house, but I can't stand anything truly messy. I already have most furniture and house stuff such as dishes, couch, chairs, tables, shelves, etc.
-I don't have any pets now, but I would love to have a cat if we live in a place that allows it. I would rather not have a dog.
Who I am looking for:
-I would like to live with someone female and around my age.
-It would be cool if you are also a college student, but that isn't necessary.
-I'd love it if we could hang out sometimes and go shopping together and that sort of thing. (It's always fun when roommates get along well!)
-No drugs, though I don't care if you smoke (hopefully not in the house) or drink (as long as you don't go on too many drunken rampages through the house).
-It'd also be cool if you didn't have parties or invite tons of people over all of the time, since I like quiet time to study/relax. Once in a while is fine, though.
Dwelling place:
-I could pay around $600 for my half of the rent, (Perhaps $700 if you include utilities) maybe more if I end up with a better job than I have now. Obviously less is better, because I'd like to still have money to buy things/save.
-It'd be awesome to get a two bedroom, so we'd each have our own space, but if that isn't possible, I'm definitely open to sharing a studio or 1 bedroom.
-I'm also not against living with more than one other girl, should we happen to find a bigger place or another good roommate.
-I would like to live in the U-District, close to busses, as I don't own a car. (I'm pretty good at riding busses, so I won't mooch rides from you if you do have a car.)
