I. Job Posting: Security Officer needed now for Loss Prevention duties for Seattle area retail stores. Loss Prevention experience is MANDATORY; MUST have own vehicle; State of WA Security Guard licensed preferred. Work shifts are Fri., Sat., and Sun. with 2 floating shifts on other days of the week. Work sites are specific stores in various Seattle and Tacoma-area malls.
II. Job Description: Perform general loss prevention duties, including the apprehension of clearly identified shoplifters. Job requires standing, walking, job requires use of cell phones.
III. Requirements include:
Must have reached 21st birthday; must have clean criminal background **
Must speak, read, write, understand (and be understood) English with native fluency
Must be able to pass Drug Screen, FBI background check, State Criminal Records Check
Be available to work: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and 2 float shifts during week.
Must have excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
Must provide fingerprints prior to attending Basic Guard Class – and as required by DOL
Must be able to attend and pass Basic Guard, Screener and MTSA trainings held in our offices, if not currently licensed as Security Officer.
Lateral transfers must take and successfully pass a basic security officer or seaport officer exam
prior to being hired
Require valid Washington Driver License
High standards on daily grooming/personal hygiene and uniform appearance:
>> No visible tattoos, no “face-jewelry/pierces," allowed on any staff
>> No earrings on male staff; only one pair earrings on female staff
>> No pony tails or excessive hair length on male staff.
>> This position is plain clothes, business casual attire.
** Misdemeanors will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
IV. Security Officer Pay Rates: $14.50 to $15.00 per hour.
