Research Associate (6 months temp) for a project in molecular genetics. The associate will be responsible for microbiological, genetic, and microarray experiments, in addition to other experimental and lab maintenance responsibilities as assigned.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or greater in a relevant field and be experienced in general molecular biology techniques. This position requires expertise in nucleic acid analysis such as PCR amplification and gel electrophoresis. Experience in sample preparation for microarray experiments, yeast cell culture, and yeast genetics are desired. The successful candidate should be well organized, detail oriented, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work both independently and within a team. 1-2+ years of industry experience required.
