Position Summary
As part of the F5 IT Windows and Storage team, you will be responsible for the implementation and administration of storage and Microsoft based systems.. The successful candidate will have experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting systems in a heterogeneous environment including NetApp, Windows, and Linux systems. You must excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment

Responsibilities
  • SAN and NAS storage administration ( NetApp)
  • Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory and Exchange 2007 administration
  • VMWare vSphere 4 multi-cluster environment
  • Symantec NetBackup and tape libraries
  • Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application software problems
  • Provide escalation support to other system administrators
  • Document and maintain installation standards & practices. Document FAQs and solutions for customers.
  • Facilitate ongoing communications among IT & user stakeholders regarding issues and activities relating to production operations

Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge (3+ years) of storage experience NetApp
  • Knowledge of CIFS and NFS storage management
  • iSCSI multipath experience
  • In-depth knowledge (3+ years) of Windows 2003/2008 AD and Exchange 2003/2007 clusters
  • A solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system
  • MS SQL 2005/2008 clustering and replication experience
  • Knowledge on current DRP technologies (VMWare SRM, NetApp SnapMirror, etc)
  • HP hardware experience
  • Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, SMTP, AD, GPO, MS SQL 2008, CIFS, NFS, IIS, VMWare VI3/vSphere 4, NetBackup.
  • System monitoring (SMS/SCCM, Nagios,etc)
  • Scripting skills desirable
  • MCSE certification highly desirable
  • F5 product knowledge desirable
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills in all areas of IT
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of senior system administrators.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, able to work with little to no supervision, detailed orientated and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in on-call rotation duties. Must have operations experience in 24x7 environments.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are primarily performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk/computer table. Some mobility is required to visit work locations within the same building. Duties require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, utilize a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, and may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
