On the third floor, as you come up the stairs, the windows have a good view of Mt. Rainier, which is really beautiful on a clear day. There are also closets and more storage areas up here, as well as attic space. Obviously, the main floor bedroom, while private, is a bit small, so I'd imagine the room to be rented is this one on the 3rd floor, but it's entirely up to you.
Now, on to the basement area of the house. I am not including pics of this area because I've already got too many in this ad, but I want people to have a very clear idea of the house. Anyway, walking downstairs (which you reach through the kitchen) you walk down a few steps, and then there's the door to the decently sized backyard. I'm hoping someone can mow the grass, or we're in trouble, heh. Continuing on, you walk downstairs and my bedroom is on the left, then on the right is my office where I work online. Continuing through are the washer/dryer and laundry area, where I also have a small fridge. Then the last room is the entertainment where I have a second plasma, Wii, & X-Box 360. I'm not a huge gamer, but the Wii is great fun, and I have no problem with you playing it, or watching TV down there. Although I have taken the basement rooms, it is not off limits or anything, especially since the laundry is down there. I believe in sharing, as long as you put the Wii remotes back on the charger, heh. Lastly is a small half bathroom, which also contains the water heater. Then there is a large door leading off to the rather small garage, which currently contains Seattle's many garbage/recycle cans and a lawn mower. I drive a minivan, and because the driveway is narrow, I park in front of the house.
In general, this is a great house, located so close to beautiful green lake, and having a bathroom on every floor, with TONS of space, I personally love it. It's comfortable and homey.
I am relatively new to the Seattle area, having only lived here since October. I used to live in First Hill, but I needed more space and I wanted to be near Green Lake because once I saw it, I fell in love with this area. I am 31 years old, and I'm fun and laid back and accepting. I work online, and plan to take a few classes to improve my web design, and I am a very reasonable person who believes in communication, and working through issues. We don't have to be best friends, or hang out, but when you live with people, there has to be an open dialogue to make sure that everyone is happy. I'm friendly and I just want to live in a nice spacious house while getting a good deal on the rent, so I can save for a house in a few years. Music is important to me, I love Tori Amos and Manson and Hole and the White Stripes, pretty much all rock, but I know what headphones are as well. Also, as we'll likely be living 2 floors apart, I can't see anyone's music tastes being a big issue. If you're open and honest with me, we can work anything out.
I don't mind if you're a professional or a full-time student, all I am looking for is someone who's decent, honest and reasonable, who can afford to split the rent and the bills. If you come to the house and decide you want to rent a room, please bring proof of income showing that you have a job or steady source of income that makes at least 3 times the rent ($565). Note that we're splitting bills 3 ways as well, so I'd imagine that would be about $100 a month, for gas/electricity/cable/phone/internet/sewer. You'll need the first month's rent & a deposit of the same amount, because that's what I paid when I moved in here.
