I'll be traveling to Olympic National Park from Seattle Airport on Aug 12th and back to the airport on the Aug 19th. I'm planning on backpacking for that week and would love to hitch a ride (and pay for all the gas), so as to avoid renting a car that will be parked for most of the week.

Leaving on July 24-26 from Seattle. I haven't decided on the exact date, because I am flexible. I would prefer to leave Friday the 25th.

Is anybody interested in catching a ride down the Oregon and Cali coast? I will take about 6 days to drive from Seattle all the way down to L.A. I will be making stops in Portland, multiple spots on the Oregon Coast, San Francisco, L.A., etc. This will be a one way trip, as I am meeting up with family for a wedding when I leave California.

My plan is to drive highway 1 through California. This is going to be a touristy scenic trip for me. I have all the camping supplies and plenty of room in my car. I plan on arriving in San Francisco by July 28. I will arrive in L.A. on August 1.

I would like to meet you if you are interested in going. It would be a pleasure having the extra company.

My car gets about 28 miles to the gallon on the highway!! Absolutely clean driving record (no speeding tickets) and full insurance.

Hey sticky situation.
I didnt know about the exorbanent 'one-way drop off fee" that rental car companies charge for one-way rentals. So for vacation, Im flying into portland and out of Seattle.
Its twice as much for me to drop off the rental car in a different city.
SO...I need someone to take my car in Seattle on Monday August 4th, drive me to the airport for a 5:30pm flight, and then you will drive down to portland and return the car there.(probably not to the airport, to some agency in the city.)
Obviously this is slightly shady, so ill need you to be a reliable and trustworthy person and driver. Please contact me if you are interested.
Ill fill the tank before i leave, but then you'll have to fill it when you get to portland that night so i dont get charged.

FYI---any time ive returned a rental car, they never asked for any ID, they just took the keys and looked to see if the car was scratched. So it really should be no problem.

I'll be busing up to Seattle tomorrow to see Judas Priest, but the show will end long after the bus back to Olympia stops running. I'm estimating the show will end at midnight. The venue is the Wamu Theater, and from there I need a ride back to Olympia! My house in Olympia is right off exit 107 on I-5, so it's really easy to get to. I'm not taking a lot of stuff with me and I drive a 1986 Chevrolet station wagon, so there should be plenty of room for your stuff. Its worst mileage was 12 mpg, and the best so far is 21 mpg. It recently had a lot of work done on it, so I'm hoping/expecting decent mileage.

I like to drive, and will move your car or U-haul truck to the Midwest (ideally Minnesota, but surrounding states/provinces are fine) in the days leading up to Sept. 27; leaving Sunday September 21, Monday September 22, Tuesday September 23 or Wednesday September 24th. Will help load / unload U-haul if needed. Two nights, 2-3 days travel time I figure.

I am moving to Pomona, CA on 7/25. I am renting a moving truck the day before and loading it up. I would love to have some company and someone to split costs with. It doesn't have to be all the way to Pomona and we could work out some way to split gas for your portion of the trip. I'm aware it's my stuff in the truck and that they have crappy mileage (around 12 mpg is what I've heard) so I'd factor that in. There may be some room for your stuff depending on how much you have, but my stuff takes priority.
It's a moving truck so I think I'm required to drive it the whole way - I have it until the 30th so I don't need to rush. You would be required to do copilot duties - music selection, minor navigation if necessary (yeah I know it's straight South on I-5), guarding truck against velociraptors - the usual.
I'd be open to considering splitting a bigger truck if you're moving down to SoCal as well. We'd have to talk re details.

I will be flying to NYC August 1-8th or so to volunteer with helping on an intellectual proeprty/copyright law situation and traveling on a shoestring budget myself. After the work is done on August 8th I'd like to drive back at a more leisurely pace when things aren't as rushed.

I save you the cost of renting a car or shipping whatever can fit in this little 4 cylinder (not a big engine, so no heavy Wiley Coyote style anvils, please :), you save me from having to rent a car at the other end. I ask for a security deposit to cover my car arriving safe and sound, we'd sign a contract and I'd have it for you in cash when we meet up on the NY side. I ask that you be willing to look after the car for parking and no NYC tickets wtill I can arrive in case there needs to be leeway 1-2 weeks in either direction - thank you!

Open to suggestions and the car is located in the University District/Seattle if you wanted to have a look at it beforehand. If you are handy with Hondas or have a AAA membership (that allows for 100+ mile tows, worst case scenario, since they won't let you use my membership if I'm not physically located with my car) that would be a definite plus!

Seeking non-smoker (no smoke in the upholstery, thanks! :)Would ask for a scan of your driver's license and insurance, driving record, and references at either end, just to make sure I'll see my car in one whole piece on the other side ;) If you have a cel number for the trip and would be willing to call my 24 hour voicemail with daily updates so we don't worry needlessly, that would be great too.
