Road Runner Sports, the World’s Largest Running Store, is looking for a Retail Fit Expert. The ideal candidate will have a service industry background (Hospitality, Restaurant, Retail, Sales) and a passion for sales and delivering excellence in way of customer service.
For over 25 years Road Runner Sports has been helping runners and fitness minded individuals find the shoes, apparel and accessories that they need to achieve their running and fitness goals.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
As a Fit Expert, you’ll support a business environment in which work is fun and enjoyable. You’ll be responsible for servicing customers in the Retail Store by courteously and efficiently assisting them with products (Shoes, Apparel and accessories) and demonstrating superior product knowledge while helping to ensure the store is properly merchandised and clean. You’ll identify and service Customers’ needs through connection, development and up-selling product in the Retail Store.
In this role you’ll consistently display a clear understanding of the balance between satisfying our Customers’ needs, our employees’ needs and the needs of Road Runner Sports. By providing a Feel Great/WOW experience to every Customer that visits/shops in our store, you will ensure that the Customer shops with us again and refers Road Runner Sports to family and friends. You will demonstrate, at all times, your commitment to supporting the store in achieving budgeted goals and key performance indicators, as well as supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
• Minimum 2-3 Years Previous Work History (Preferably in Retail or Service Industry)
• Associates degree or some college coursework complete preferred
• Open availability (ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as needed)

• (Computer Literate) Able to navigate the internet, utilize basic computer software (ie: Word, Excel) and learn new software applications
• Sales Ability & Experience
• Basic Retail Math
• Experience with merchandising - a plus!
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
