Pre-press operator
A Lynnwood-based Flexographic Trade Shop is looking for a Digital Prepress person to join their team. This person must be able to thrive in a very fast-paced, hands-on, progressive work environment. They must possess the technical know-how listed below along with a positive, collaborative energy. This role is responsible for the preparing of all client supplied and internally created files for digital output to plates and film as well as output of files on inkjet and film plotters.
Responsibilities/Functions:
- Prep files for digital & analog plates, plotters or film imagers.
- Knowledge of Esko-Artwork pre-press software
- Knowledge of operation and calibration of Esko-Artwork CDI output device
- Traditional film stripping helpful
- Maintain quality of client’s final product
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 - 5 years experience with flexographic print processes
- Proficient in Mac and PC platform
- Proficient in Adobe CS4 (Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign)
- Positive attitude and work well under pressure
- Flexibility to successfully deal with quick changes in the working environment and be comfortable in an independent role
- Ability to quickly grasp digital workflows and make innovative improvements to those workflows
- Works proactively with a sense of urgency and motivation and volunteers assistance without being asked
- Commit to approaching the process proactively by communicating issues that could slow the process
- Overtime often required depending on customer or business needs
- Good disposition and work ethic
- Team player
- Excellent Time Management and Communication Skills
