Do you love music and art? eMedia Music has a full-time position available for a detail-oriented, Adobe Illustrator expert -- a Production Layout Artist. This layout position requires working within the confines of a pre-existing style and templates for positioning and formatting text and graphics for the screen and web. The role offers the occasional opportunity to create new or derivative artwork and illustrations.
To qualify for this role, the right candidate will:
- know the ins and outs of Adobe Illustrator CS2 and work quickly and effectively
- have a "book-publisher's" eye for attractive and balanced layout of text and graphics
- be familiar with standard music notation
- be very exacting and able to keep track of detailed instructions and follow through on every item on a list
- be excellent at organizing workflow to address requests coming from multiple editors
- enjoy a quiet and friendly work environment with continuous workflow
- be reliable, responsible, and available during our normal business hours
- Location: Seattle (U-District)
- Compensation: Hourly rate is $10-12 DOE. Benefits are potentially possible after a 90-day trial period.
