KCTS 9 is the largest public television station in the Pacific Northwest, reaching over 2 million viewers weekly in Washington and British Columbia. Located in the heart of Seattle at Seattle Center, KCTS 9 improves the quality of life in the communities we serve by providing meaningful programming on air, online and in the community that informs, involves and inspires.
KCTS 9 seeks a full-time Marketing and Communications Specialist to support KCTS 9’s mission to deliver high-quality, noncommercial programming to reach more people, build a strong organization and make a positive impact in the community by creating high-quality marketing materials, including digital and print media, with a focus on customer service. Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this position writes, edits and creates marketing materials; plans and executes events with cross-functional teams; identifies promotion opportunities for events, initiatives and special programming; and provides overall support to the Marketing and Communications department.

A Bachelors degree in Communications or related field, or equivalent related experience; 2 years of marketing experience; proficiency in MS Office; experience using In Design; experience using Web-based programs; and event planning experience required. Proficiency in MS Access; experience using full Adobe Creative Suite; and experience with Drupal, basic HTML and social media sites strongly preferred.
