JOB TITLE- Human Resources Director
POP is currently searching for a Human Resources Director to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic HR leader who understands how to develop talent, instill strong cultural values, and manage growth across the organization. This role combines day-to-day operational human resources functions with strategic advisory. The HR Director will help drive all HR efforts across the organization including recruiting, employee on-boarding, compensation strategy, policy development, performance management, employee relations, and training and development.
The ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced creative and technology focused environment. This position will report to the VP Corporate Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish credibility throughout the organization, with management, and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
Participate in the development of the companys plans and programs as a strategic consultant to management, providing human resources expertise in implementing business initiatives and in determining the essential tactical human resource elements with a strong focus on the impact on people.
Responsible for the recruiting lifecycle including the recruiting experience, materials, interview process, and selection of employees. Own and manage outside consulting relationships. Ensure a comprehensive orientation and on boarding process for new employees.
Actively mentor managers and staff on professional development opportunities, career advancement, training, and programs to facilitate cross-disciplinary learning.
Work directly with managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters and supporting a positive work environment.
Oversee or participate in the investigation and resolution of problems, such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee appeals and grievances. Wherever possible, anticipate problems and develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution.
Oversee all aspects of employee terminations.
Propose, publish and administer personnel policies and procedures, insuring compliance.
Work with Payroll/Benefits Accountant to develop and deliver annual open enrollment meetings and communication to staff.
Collaborate with the SVP Operations in the annual review, preparation and administration of agency wage and salary program.
Maintain personnel records and oversee procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management, and advise management to ensure agency compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
Consult with legal counsel as appropriate.
Office Management
Supervise Administrative staff and oversee administrative functions.
Act as facilities manager.
