POP is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team in Seattle. The Director of Human Resources / Administration will be expected to be the thought leader in human resource
initiatives for the business. Specifically, the Director will be responsible for providing the day-to-day direction and leadership for the people assets of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration
•Supervise Administrative staff and oversee administrative functions
•Act as facilities manager, acting as a liaison between POP and building management, managing site improvements and overseeing repairs
HUMAN RESOURCES General
•Plan and direct all activities related to the Human Resource function
•Create and maintain all HR policies
•Communicate policies, compensation and benefits programs to employees through new employee orientation, employee meetings, and a legally sound employee handbook
•Take full charge of review process and performance management software
•Manage training and orientation program.
•Update turnover information on a monthly basis and report on turnover quarterly to the Executive Management and Directors.
•Act as neutral, trusted advisor to employees.
•Manage and resolve employee relations issues.
•Make recommendations to Executive Management regarding employee terminations, compensation, promotions and new hires.
•Take full charge of the recruiting process.
Legal Aspects of Employment
•Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, state, and local regulations related to EEOC, FMLA, employee benefits, workplace safety and other labor issues
•Oversee employee terminations or resignations, compliance with COBRA, interface with various state employment security departments
•Research and establish payroll functions and regulation compliance in various states as needed
•Manage the hiring processes within POP to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
