Postdoctoral Fellow Position(s) – Seattle Children’s Research Institute
Position Description:
Postdoctoral fellow position(s) for research on gene therapy for hemophilia at the laboratory of Carol H. Miao, PhD at Children’s Research Institute are available through funding from National Institutes of Health. Research areas include gene therapy with various gene transfer vectors and carriers, ultrasound-mediated gene transfer, animal model studies, characterization of immune responses, and development of immunotherapies. The candidate will be expected to work on the evolving projects at the cutting edge of gene therapy and immunotherapy, and will also involve writing manuscripts and fellowship applications. These multi-faceted projects cut across many scientific disciplines, including molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, animal model studies, and immunology.
Requires:
PhD and/or MD in molecular or cellular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology, and hematology.
Experience with molecular and cell biology techniques.
Prefers:
Experience withgene transfer, and techniques and concepts of gene therapy.
Experience with animal model studies.
Experience with immunology studies.
