Parfait is a farm-to-table ice creamery. We make everything (down to our sprinkles!) from scratch in our beautiful, light filled kitchen at our shop in Ballard. We are looking for someone to help us serve our amazing craft ice cream and novelties.
Parfait has a warm, welcoming environment that caters to families and kids of all ages, so servers must be extremely friendly, professional, and enjoy being around children. Our busy times come in waves, so employees must be able to stay productive during slow times and then shift into high gear and work efficiently, while maintaining a high level of courtesy. Servers are expected to learn our menu and ingredient sources, and to be able to explain and offer suggestions to customers. In addition to scooping ice cream, our servers run our cash register, pack pints, roll our handmade waffle cones, wash some dishes, and are expected to help us keep our shop meticulously clean and inviting.
Candidates must be over 18 years of age and should have some professional serving experience. The job requires long periods of standing. All Parfait employees are required to obtain a Washington State Food Worker's Permit.
We are currently looking for someone to work 2 or 3 shifts per week, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Shifts typically range from 5 to 7 hours, with the opportunity for more shifts and/or longer hours depending on performance. We are looking for candidates who are interested and available to work into and through the busy summer season.
