The IT Manager is responsible for the overall internet strategy for the company and will wear many hats. This will include not only industry functions, but also monitoring and resourcing in order that all might have at least a minimal presence in cyberspace. The IT Manager is also responsible for the maintenance/ oversight and coordination of computer hardware, software, and network systems for the company. In addition, this individual manages the leadership database, serves as the webmaster and provides technical support for the staff. This position also serves as a Technical Advisor and creative partner in maintaining and improving communications within the company and beyond.

DUTIES:
- Serves as the webmaster, manages the website and works in conjunction with the Communications Director to determine and implement website content and design.
- Regularly assesses websites throughout the company and works to help them initiate and/or improve their presence on the internet.
- Assesses various social networking and other developing modalities on the internet to increase company presence.
- Oversees, maintains and coordinates current computer hardware, software and the LAN/WAN networks.
- Provides technical support assistance to staff, including purchasing hardware, system upgrades and performing regular maintenance, etc.
- Manages database and writes reports to meet user requests.
- Collaborates with Communications Director and Publications Coordinator to create, implement and uphold communications policies, publications, collateral materials, etc.
- Develops and maintains a hardware and software inventory, including review of current software licensing agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven customer service orientation combined with the ability to work well with others, in the office and out. Creativity, initiative, and excitement about Internet possibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
- Web design experience and management preferred
- Knowledge of Windows OS and networks
- Experience with various software applications including: Access, Cold Fusion, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Office
- SQL query design experience
- Understanding of HTML and website administration/production
- Previous experience in an end-user technical support role
- Ability to manage a LAN/WAN and troubleshoot problems
- Quick, analytic thinker
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts

REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of archives and records management best practices and familiarity with Washington State and federal laws pertaining to.
- Ability to perform work requiring lifting and/or physical exertion may be required
