I reached for two of these on craigslist over the past couple of years, and am going to let one go and keep the other. It walks well, but a little bulky and sensitive for dancing or jogging. A great in the car player to plug into your adapter for road trips, or around the apartment or house. Easy to set up wide-ranging playlists for get-togethers or long plane, train or bus rides.
Includes player, charger, software and usb cable for uploading/downloading. I currently have 3900 eclectic tracks on it with nearly 4 gigs still available, from books on disc to albums to songs from here and there. Tracks are still on it to demo its range. Great sound specs, and the software makes it very easy to move songs and other audio files to and from the player, make playlists, etc. They say the battery is something like 18 hours. I never timed it through but it still does 10 plus hours easily -- and replacing batteries looks pretty easy if you buy a new one.
I'm throwing in a clear soft plastic after market jacket that I ripped trying to get it out once - but it still works as a shock absorber. I'd say avoid spending another $25 to replace - it's not a great design.
