Cosmetology Learning Leader
Purpose: To instruct students effectively, create an inspired learning environment, and attend advanced education annually which will assure that the institution achieves its major educational goals, objectives and continuing purpose.
Description of Duties:
∗ Prepare for class, presentation/teaching of curriculum.
∗ To ensure that the curriculum that is being taught reflects current standards within the industry, i.e. preparation and research.
∗ Maintaining clean and orderly space.
∗ Ensure safe and sanitary practices by both students and instructors when practicing and providing services.
∗ Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
∗ Participate in special events; such as Congress, Career Fairs, Graduations, and Earth Month activities.
∗ To project a professional image at all times to internal and external guests.
∗ Maintain academic records and ensure continuous evaluation is given to future professionals on an ongoing basis, i.e. student performance in theory, practical and clinical experiences.
∗ Ensure client satisfaction by effectively managing clinic floor and assisting students in resolving issues.
• Perform other special duties as assigned or required by administration to ensure the success of the Institute and it’s educational objectives.
Reports to:
1. Cosmetology Clinic Floor Leader, Cosmetology Classroom Instruction Leader, or Esthetics Leader
2. Institute Leader
Minimum Requirements:
* High School Diploma and be a Licensed cosmetologist.
* Must be a licensed cosmetology instructor.
* 1-2 years of industry experience
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service and presentation skills
* Passion for beauty industry
* Ability to coach others and be coached
