Due to our recent expansion, EuropaKids Bilingual Learning Center of West Seattle is looking for two experienced teachers: 1 native Spanish and 1 native German speaking teacher. EuropaKids has been featured on national tv, A Place of our Own, and Los Ninos de Su Casa, and on WKCTS Channel 9 as an Exceptional Caregiver Award Recipient 2009 for our work in bilingual early childhood education. We are currently searching for 2 fun and energetic individuals to support our current team of teachers on a part time basis (20-30 hours a week.) There will opportunities for more hours in the future as we continue to expand.
Duties include general child care, preparing meals and snacks, cleaning, interacting with the children both one on one and as a group, and organizing and carrying out age appropriate creative activities in their native language.
Requirements:
1) At least 6 months early childhood experience (birth to 5 years old) in a center or home daycare environment
2) Native speaking ability in Spanish and/or German (depending upon position)
3) Willing to complete early childhood training at your own cost in:
Infant and child first aid and CPR certification.
HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens certification.
Background check and fingerprinting (if out of state).
Wa state STARS training.
Any of these already completed is a huge plus.
A reliable and caring personality is a must.
