The art of negotiation is a characteristic that few possess and exactly what we’re looking for. Medical Consultants Network (MCN) is currently seeking a full-time Physician Network Developer to work in its Seattle office.
This position is primarily responsible for bringing physicians into our provider network and negotiating their contract pricing. Because you will be working with our providers, your efforts will be directly affecting the company’s growth. In addition to physician recruiting, other responsibilities include:
• Scheduling exams with newly recruited physicians that meet client criteria for timeliness and travel
• Orienting providers on upcoming examinations
• Collecting credentials from recruited specialists, including billing information
• Providing options for recruiting/scheduling if you are not able to meet all the client’s scheduling criteria
• Compiling an accurate spreadsheet of monthly statistics for review by manager, HR, and COO
• Organizing Provider database to reduce the possibility of errors being made based on out-dated or erroneous information
• Gathering data on physician availability for RFP’s and other necessary sales presentations
• Pre-recruiting specialists at competitive rates as needed for different geographical areas
• Reducing the number of physicians in the network who require prepayment by renegotiating with previously recruited and frequently used specialists
For this job to be done well, we need someone with impeccable organizational skills, outstanding customer service and sales skills, eyes of an eagle, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency with computers. Comfort on the telephone is NECESSARY.
