Look! A very clean and rare 1983 Mercedes 300 CD turbo diesel coupe. Only 8007 of these turbo diesel coupes were produced, and only 2031 in '83, so they are becoming very rare. I looked at over 20 of these cars for nearly a year before buying this one, and I hate to sell it, but it needs to find a new home. This car is a rust-free and in amazing condition. It is a pleasure to drive, and it operates flawlessly!
It is very hard to find one of these in this condition, especially at this price.
The car came from California to Washington then Oregon. There is absolutely no rust anywhere. The paint is great and the alloy wheels are still shiny. This car is ready for many more decades of motoring. The interior is very clean, the springs and stuffing are still firm. The rest is near perfect, with only one very minimal crack in the dash.
Original price over $38,000, NADA book price in average condition is $8950. High book retail price is $12150. It was appraised for $9800 in January of 2005.
This car has a clean WA title with tags through 1/09. The odometer shows a low 225k miles, verified by records which come with the car, including the original window sticker!
The car starts right away with minimal smoking. Meticulously maintained since I've had it. New tires (less than 1000 miles), oil changes with synthetic oil, new oil and fuel filters, new Bilstein shocks, current service. Everything works except the power antenna, clock, and electric rearview mirror.
The car comes with the original owners manual and "glove box" books, plus the original window sticker and delivery documents.
