Sr. Financial Analyst

Laird Norton Company (LNC) is a seventh-generation family business with holdings in real estate, financial services and private equity. We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in downtown Seattle.

The Position
The Sr. Financial Analyst will complete the research and analyses necessary to evaluate and project financial performance. Responsibilities include:

Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial situations and prepares recommendations for action, procedure, or control.

Researches and prepares quarterly reports on corporate portfolio companies.

Analyzes financial information to evaluate present and predict future financial performance.

Prepares financial narratives for quarterly owner reports.

Prepares annual risk assessment

Preparation of analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.

Establishes databases of information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.

The Successful Candidate
We're looking for someone with a strong analytical/research background, including prior financial analysis experience. Ideal candidates will excel in a small company environment, juggling multiple projects and switching priorities seamlessly.

Qualifications include:

Fifth year college or university program certificate; 2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Capability to think critically, solve problems logically and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel & Word.

Experience with Cap IQ or other online subscription based research providers helpful.
