Contract Administrator-Temporary/Contract

Consejo is a private, not for profit organization, founded in 1978 to provide culturally competent mental health and family support services in King County. Our services focus on, but are not limited to the Hispanic/Latino community. Consejo is committed to providing education, prevention, treatment and support services related to mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence. Consejo also provides vocational rehabilitation services and employment services to Latinos living in the King County area. Consejo also operates two transitional housing programs, one for homeless/mentally ill clients and the other one for victims of domestic violence.

Consejo’s clients are approximately 95% Spanish –speaking. Today, services are offered to residents of Seattle and King County from our main offices in Columbia City in the Rainier Valley and satellite offices, in Bellevue, Kent, Federal Way, and South Park. Consejo serves largely poor Hispanic/Latino families and individuals throughout the greater Seattle area. The services are provided to elders, adults, youth, and children.

The Contract Administrator is a key position within Consejo’s Accounting Department. This person needs to be qualified, highly organized and detail oriented person to handle the management of 60 plus contracts as well as accounting functions as needed

Responsibilities:

•Read an summarize contracts from a variety of funders
•Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual reports for each contract
•Prepare billings related to each of the contracts on a monthly basis.
•Point of contact for funders as well as internal program managers
•Perform AR reconciliation on a monthly basis
•Perform as a backup for AP, Payroll and bank reconciliations.
•Perform other special projects assigned by the Finance Director

Requirements/Qualifications: \

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
•2+ years accounting experience
•Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
•Experience in MIP is a plus
•Valid driver’s license and car insurance
•Ability to work independently and be able to prioritize tasks.
