Housemate needed for awesome house with cool roomamtes & good energy (West Seattle) $375

I've got a room in my house in West Seattle that we'd like to rent out to a housemate. Presently there are five of us in the house, and it�s a VERY large house, so this place will NOT ever feel crowded. Because we are presently 3 males and 2 females � in order to keep the gender balance of the household we need a woman in this room.

This house has good energy, and is a comfortable space. Standard stuff, Washer/Dryer, Garbage disposal, but it has some extra nice things as well. The water heater is a whole house instant electric, so as long as we don't overtax it's ability to make hot water, we can NEVER run out of hot water for showers (and we have great water pressure). There is a nice fireplace in the living room, and a hot tub on the front porch. There is also an exercise room with a commercial treadmill (with a TV in front of it), and a commercial ab machine. There are some great pieces of antique furniture in the house, so it makes for a nice place. This is NOT an apartment looking place.

There is also a full fledged climbing wall in a stairwell (for a few pictures see exotic-lighting.com/Personal), and there is high speed internet � Many of our computers are in a common �office� today, so there is usually one that�s open for use. There is a woodworking shop in the basement, but it will take some cleaning to get it fully functional.

There is good on-street parking, and it's a quiet neighborhood. The house is about a 1 minute walk to the bus stop, and from there it's about 18 minutes (by bus) to first and union downtown. There is some shopping within walking distance, and the grocery stores are like 6 blocks away.

The house is not without it's faults. There is some construction going on (always), and the outside of the house is basically unusable -- the bottom line is if you are looking for a manicured lawn, this is not the place � for another 2 or 3 years�

There is no smoking in this house, and there are also no drugs here.

Oh... the room� it is what you might call �Medium�, and is on the lower floor, and it�s got GREAT sunlight in it - having a windows on each of the South and East walls - Oh, and it's got GREAT curtain rods (but the view is of the street so it�s not one of the breathtaking panoramic views you find in Better Homes and Gardens.). I have the ability to partially �furnish� the room, if that�s a bonus Oh, and it�s got what would be termed a closet with �funky geometry�. And, despite the way the house looks outside, this room is very nice � and it�s wired for Internet and Cable.

The house has two kitchens, you will probably choose the downstairs kitchen � since the room is downstairs.

The bottom line on money is that the room is $375 per month plus a "share" of all the utilities on the house. If you want to stay less than 6 months, I'll do a flat rate of $150 per month for utilities.

As for me, just so that you can get a sense of me as a person, I�m very easy to get along with, and I�m good with other peoples boundaries. I have this tendancy to do open relationships and each of my two girlfriends typically stay over maybe once or twice a week. My work/hobbies include lighting for big rock bands (I just finished a tour with Ted Nugent), remodeling properties that I own, doing computer software, I go to board game parties every once in a while, and I've hosted a few. I like bonfires that are way too big, I am a member of the National Space Society, and a lot of other random diverse things.

Jessica is getting a degree in the medical field and has a pet snake. She is in the coolest room in the house. It's one that gives rooms at the palace of Versaille a run for it's money.

Sarah does art projects for a living.. She has two kitties that are well behaved, and a drum kit she doesn�t play in the house.. She is also laid back and very social � and she likes dressing in vinyl and going to events at The Wet Spot as well as The Little Red Studio here and there.

Nicole is a Vet Tech that has a dog and a very mellow cat (upstairs from the room in question), and she works nights so we rarely see too much of her.

Ray trades me remodeling work for his space, and he also works doing food service related sales things downtown.

We are looking for someone that is social, not joined at the hip new best friend, but someone we can have casual conversation with when hanging out in the kitchen cooking at the same time. We are looking for someone that doesn�t do the total anti-social thing� If the only thing you ever do is grunt �hi� as you blow thru the house on your way to the room, never to be seen till you leave? That�s not comfortably social If you happen to want to go to events/shows/parties that any of us are going to, that�s cool too but there will be no expectations around that. Other than that, just be open-minded, non-judgemental of others, and somehow � interesting. We are also looking for someone that will do their own dishes and keep the common areas �at least as clean as you found them� on an ongoing basis. It�s shocking to me that I feel the need to say this, but I�ve had housemates in the past� (that we can talk about later, there are some funny horror stories there.)
