VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR VISITOR INFORMATION (Olympia Farmer's Market)

The Olympia - Lacey - Tumwater Visitor & Convention Bureau is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in the staffing of our Mobile Information Center located at the Olympia Farmer's Market. The Information Center will be open for tourist information during the following times:
May 30th - Sept. 1st
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only
Two shifts available for each day:
1) 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and
2) 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Responsibilities include answering questions and providing tourism information, promoting Thurston County businesses and enterprises, locating and using resources in an efficient manner, keeping up to date about local events, attractions, and other tourism businesses in the area.
Preferrable skills/experience include familiarity with Thurston County, the South Puget Sound area, and the State of Washington, excellent communication skills, enjoy working with people from various backgrounds, understand (or willing to learn) how to read maps and give directions, be able to work a 2 or 4 hour shift, remain polite and helpful in all circumstances, and be able to work with little or no supervision.
Must be dependable and on-time; friendly, outgoing and flexible; maintain a clean appearance and good personal hygiene; take pride in your work and have FUN!!
