My guitar playing is versatile, and falls somewhere between Robin Ford's blues and David Grissom's country rock style. I can sing lead and have a good ear for harmony arrangements. I have pro gear, transportation, and east side rehearsal space with PA. I'm a quick study, and believe in productive rehearsals. No interest in extensive touring, or musicians without substantial gigging experience.

We are a newly formed group, we have some serious shred and dread, just need you to drive the nails home!

Our major influences are: Arch Enemy, All That Remains, Metallica, DevilDriver, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, and oddly enough, Smashing Pumpkins lol.

We would prefer a female bassist for some sex appeal, however if you are dedicated and you have the skillz, it doesn't really matter.

So far we are Jamming on Metallica and Arch Enemy to get some group cohesion. However, once all positions are filled, we will move into composition and get us some gigs.

I'm recording originals as a hobby. It's fun, but I'm thinking it might even be more fun if I collaborated vocally or musically with someone with similar tastes in music. The originals I'm working on kind of fit into the broad style of stuff you might hear on The Mountain. I'm in my late 40s, have a family, and as a result I'm pretty time-strapped. Nevertheless, I always make time each week to keep these recordings moving forward. I'm wondering if there's someone around locally who might have some time and interest for this, but is not motivated to make it into a career project. Ideally, I'm hoping to find someone who resides pretty local to Bothell, like in Lynnwood, Shoreline, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, etc.

i spend my winters in the seattle area. i tour twice a year and plan on playing here as soon as i get an outfit together. i played a handful of shows in seattle last year but some members have relocated. i am looking to put a large group together. would like to practice as much as possible... until the songs are together. also looking for a soulful female for vocals and maybe some horns. this is in an infintile stage but things can come together quickly. Fun indie pop band (Tim and The Time Machines) seeks a few new bandmates to fill out our lineup, after recently losing a key player. A jack of all trades type player would be ideal (but its probably a tall order, I know). No 'hired guns' or 'play-just-for-payers' please. We are doing this strictly for fun, and as a creative outlet (and we hope you feel the same way).

We would honestly be happy if you played one or more of the following: Lead Guitar, Violin, Trombone, Mandolin, Harmonica, Accordian (or anything else interesting). We have a ton of good little pop-songs written and an album in the works, we've been playing some decent shows around town (Comet, High Dive etc), we are great people to be around. Having other projects going is just fine (within reason of course :).

whats up seattle. i just arrived here and have started assembling a new project. i've found a good drummer fairly quick and we've begun rehearsing a set now.

26 year old guitarist/songwriter with 17 years exp and 25 year old drummer with 15 years exp looking for a bassist (yes, just like everyone else..).

a few things may set us apart from the others:

*.) full on recording studio that we own. all pro gear is a term used a little loosley these days, but we have everything you could possible need (recording amps to yamaha motif 88 to genuine oktava overheads to macpro->logicpro).

*.) multiple practice locations. we have a spot at tully's (old ranier brewery) and a roomy,humidity-free, very secure basement starting in november.

*.) all live gear. we usually run vocals and drums (if needed) through a powermixer and 2x15s.

*.) very dedicated. Vocals/guitarist records Mondays and practices Tuesdays. We both practice Wednesdays and have a writing/"brainstorming" session Saturdays (its fun. usually an absinth-filled excursion.)

*.) super mellow. nobody is going to pretend theyre jesus and take control of your writing. we let you do your own thing, as long as we all dig it. we like contructive criticism, so if youre sensetive, please look elsewere. we like to take the 'Miles method', which you will find in a lot of producers: we try to get the best out of each other, knowing fully that the others are capable of owning their own country if it wasnt for all of the paperwork. so if you really dig something, we would like to build off of it.

you dont have to be the greatest ever. honestly, we are looking for a bit of a minimalist. trust us, we love the funk, but were going to focus more on writing to the lyrics than have everyone play their balls off on every track. now that being said, EVERYONE will have at least one show off track, just so everyone out there knows we have the most legit bassist in seattle.

some have said that having three guitarists cannot be done, through there are fine examples to the contrary. at one time, we also had three guitarists, and it worked beautifully.

i have always questioned those who "cannot" and prefer to operate with those who "can" and "will".

the four of us (two guitarists, bassist, drummer) all have an electrochemical connection, a spiritual kinship, a musical bond, and asking a fifth person to come in, dig the material, learn the material, be a contributing member of the group, AND seamlessly incorporate themselves into the way we operate is a lot to ask.

but, we're asking.

you "can", and you "will" because you "want" to.

so, what is it we're seeking? while we're all tempted by the vast array of possibilities, the effect that another guitarist who doubles on keys would have on the group is the preferred direction. this would bring our total to three guitarists... layering is fun... "thom and jonny seek ed".

we've all been through this process before, and we greatly prefer someone who really wants "in" as opposed to somebody that's just going to half-ass the effort... believe me, we can all tell, and we're not shy about saying so and calling someone out on it. bring all the energy you've got, and you'll get it back in return.

the songwriting is covered. the rehearsal space is covered. gigs are coming, and we're hunting studios at the moment. all you need to bring is you, your desire to make things work, your gear, and whatever means of transport you have to get here.

We are, if you can generalize it somehow, a rock/hardcore/ambient/melodic band out of Seattle and practicing in Burien, just 10-15mins south of downtown Seattle, for those who don't know where it's at. I'm an experienced, hard hitting drummer who knows when and when not to play, and am searching for a guitarist and bassist (at least one a singer) to create a loud, orchestral, sonic type sound in a completely collaborative setting. I have song ideas to try, and if we don't like them after some effort is put in, we'll scrap them. I like the thought of adding a string and trumpet player in the future.

I'm not in a rush to play out yet - I think it's more important to take the time and write great songs.

Definitely NO EGOS WANTED. I've been doing this a long time so if you're not serious and commited please don't respond. I have a practice space.

Not that it matters, but here are a few of my favorite bands: The Mars Volta, Tool, Sunny Day Real Estate, Sigur Ros, Afghan Whigs, Jane's Addiction.

Both are seasoned musicians (40's and 50's); looking to put together something different.

Had a few responses, this is still in the construction phase.

REALLY - REALLY NEED a Kickass Bass Player right now!!!

Do you like Deep Purple, Foghat, Nugent, The Who, Floyd, Hendrix, GNR, Beatles, Sabbath, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Bad Co, Boston - etc etc

Not looking to be rock stars, nor do we want junior high mentalities.

It will be a collaboration of all parties involved. I know there are numerous "Classic Rock" bands in the area, but hopefully - the right people can bring something different to the table. Nor will this will be a tribute band.

Rehearsal will be at my place out by Harts Lake for now, but that is subject to change.

Hello,
My name is Rick LeDoux, I am the house engineer at London Bridge Studio in Shoreline. I am on here to offer my services as an producer/engineer to bands who are looking to record at a major Seattle recording studio that has been responsible for tracking many influential artists. Such as Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, 3 Doors Down, and many others. The studio offers superb live acoustics (one of the best rooms in the Northwest), an incredible sounding vintage Neve 8048 console, a Protools HD3 rig, and a Studer A800 2" tape machine we can use in conjunction with Protools! Our live room is famous for producing amazing drums tones that really take a project to the next level. Not to mention the fact that we have two smaller studio rooms at a cheaper rate for any sort of overdubing, editing, or mixing you may need done. So if you are looking to just record vocals, acoustic guitar, or anything of the sort, these rooms would be perfect for you.

I have engineered on many projects at LBS, some of which include Vision and Valor, A Skylit Drive, Kultur Shock, Daniel Bedingfield, Common Market, 3 Inches of Blood and the Seattle Symphony.
