We are looking for someone (preferably a mature woman) who can come live with us and help run the household; cleaning, cooking and running errands and etc. This is a long term position. The pay for this position is the room and board and we usually just negotiate a resonable additional pay aside from the room and board. Having your own transportation is NOT neccessary for this position. This is just like a regular job with weekends off.
We are offering a master bedroom that includes a walk-in closet and a private full bathroom. If neccessry, the room can be furnished with a daybed, desk, nightstand and TV w/ small stand. In exchange for daily housekeeping, laundry, cooking, organizing and other misc. tasks.
There are 3 in our family. My husband, son (14) and myself. However my son is currently away until March 2010. We have a 3000+ square foot home with 4 baths and 5 bedrooms, and two of which are masters with walk-in closets & full baths.
We are a loving, accepting, easy going, and very down to earth family. We are very clean and have a very nice home. We have 2 dogs (1 six month old english bulldog puppy, and a 17 year old) and 1 cat. So we need someone who is an animal lover. And obviously doesn't mind general tasks regarding our pets’ daily care. This is just one of the things I really need help with.
I need help because I have several physical disabilities/ injury that cause me incredible pain, making it almost impossible for me to do any house work and tons of other tasks. However, currently I have to, because I have very little help, so against doctors orders (I am not to use my right arm/hand at all, or I can end up with permanent damage, and I am right handed), I do housekeeping because I cannot stand a messy home. We need someone who will treat our home as their own and keep it as clean as I would if I could. I tend to keep a very clean home whenever I can. It would be nice to find a gal who prefers to be home, and wont be gone every chance they get. This is also because, through all of this pain, I have developed fibromyalgia and a horrible depression and am looking for a person who has the heart of a caregiver. Being left home alone so much really takes its toll on me.
We need a person who is very motivated, a self starter a must, trustworthy, flexible, friendly and easy to be around, since we will be spending a lot of time together =) This person must be able to take initiative when it comes to housekeeping and I need someone who absolutely exercises common sense.
Having experience in this area (housekeeping/care giving) is a plus. I really don’t want to have to teach someone how to cook or clean. We have no problem helping this person out financially from time to time, if we are able to. However we are not asking this person to help out with any utilities, food, or household expenses, this is all in exchange, furnished room included, for the help.
Absolutely NO children, NO couples and NO animals. This is not negotiable. Must be willing to provide at least 5 references and have a background check done. This does not mean we won’t accept someone who has been in trouble with the law, its more about honesty and it depends on references and if we think we could live with you.
However we do want someone who will fit in and be part of the family, so to speak.
