My gal and I are in search of a 2 bedroom, full-bath, W/D and dishwasher equipped home or house, or a small bungalow or quaint charming cottage as well, for a minimum of a 1-year rental or lease period, though we may be willing to go 18 months or perhaps even 2 years if the situation is right, beginning on or around August 2008 in or around the communities of Ballard, Sunset Hill, Magnolia, Edmonds, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore and so forth. Basically somewhere around the North Seattle area, though still close to the heart of Seattle city. The west and north areas of West Seattle certainly isn't out of the question either!

We are both professionals (she's a massage therapist who works at an area upscale spa and he works in high-tech with internet companies) and neither of us have any criminal or civil records and have never been evicted or have had any reason to be. We both have spotless driving records as well. Our previous landlords have always loved us! We have two adult cats with great references. One is indoor only and the other is indoor/outdoor. We pay rent on the first of the month, every month without fail!

Our current sound, island and mountain view home is being sold soon (well put on the market to be sold at least) due to the owner's unfortunate divorce. Our previous rental homes over the past 6 or 7 years have been a Lake Washington view home, a beautiful Ballard home (we miss it so much!) and a home nestled in the trees and foliage of Mukilteo. We take excellent care of the properties that we rent and have excellent references as such. We pay rent on the 1st of the month without fail, we don't smoke anything at all and rarely drink, but maybe for some wine with special dinners.

If you've got something along the lines of what we are in search of, or know of someone who does, coming up between now (mid-May 2008) and August 2008 please let us know at your earliest convenience.

We are in search of a stand-alone house or home only. No shared living situations, mother-in-law, duplex, triplex, apartment, town home, condo or other such dwellings will be considered. Some pluses would be: fireplace, fenced in backyard, garage, lawn service, and a little distance between my neighbors and me (read: not all on top of each other).

I can afford up to $1300/mo with no utilities included and up to $1500/mo if all utilities (including cable/internet) are included.

I am happy with most parts of Seattle, from Bothell to Burien, West Seattle to Redmond -- if the place is perfect for me, I am not bothered by a commute -- but again, I dont want to live where the houses are so close together, you can reach out and literally touch your neighbor!

Hey all. I moved here from the east coast last fall with my two best friends, but they are moving back in September when our lease is up. I have a good job in South Seattle and would like to not go any further south than Sea-Tac and no further North than Shoreline; no further west than West Seattle and no further East than Bellevue. I live in an apartment now and would be cool living in an apartment but would really like to rent a house with a yard for my dog (30lbs 3yrs old doesn't bark, friendly with other dogs AND cats, house trained and likes to sleep in a crate if I am not home during the day if he isn't going to doggie daycare or hanging out with my friends). I am a very quiet and clean person. I have always left my places in much better condition than when I moved in (I can provide pictures). I do not smoke, party or do drugs, and rarely drink. I am well educated, work a full time job, and also work on some projects on the side (trying to get a consulting business off the ground).

I do have two small dogs--a 3 year old Lhasa Apso and a Shih Tzu puppy. I can provide training certificates if needed, as well as references. Up to date on shots, and is neutered (puppy will be neutered at appropriate age). These dogs MUST come with! Now, I also have an opportunity to get the dog of my dreams. It is a large breed dog, a Mastiff mix, but is already well trained, housebroken, up to date on shots and all. He is a very mellow dog, and does not bark unless something is wrong (the last one I had barked three times in her 14 years of life, always to alert her people of danger). 100% non-aggressive, and is not a pitbull. I will not be getting him for at least a month. This dog is completely optional, but I would LOVE to have a place that would allow him. Like I said, this is my dream dog. But, I need a place to live more than I need another dog.

Please note, I am NOT looking for a roommate situation. I'm done with college and grad school, I prefer to live alone now. I've gotten quite a few responses from people offering me a room in their house or to share a place. I have all my own furniture, and don't want to store it. While I am grateful for the offers, I really do prefer to live alone. I keep to myself and like to be left alone to do just that!

Last month I placed an ad here on Craigslist, seeking housing for my wife and I. I was contacted by a Nathan Meyers. He told me he had a rental house in Auburn and would rent it to me for only $750 per month. Seemed too good to be true and I was weary but after I paid deposits, first month rent, we signed a lease and collected keys. Right after, I sold our appliances because he promised us new ones, I sold our only television and even got a U-Haul. We were all ready to move and began to move. Then we found out we were scammed. I have reported it to police and all the news stations. We were not the only ones. He ran off with our money and I was stuck with the U-Haul bill and now we are living without appliances and are in desperate need of a house to rent.

My wife and I are in our 50's, quiet, very clean, non-smokers. My wife is disabled and does not work but I have steady, verifiable income. We do have 2 old dogs but they are clean, no fleas and do not do anything but lay around. We do not have perfect credit due to my wifes surgeries and her not being able to work. I'm not asking anyone for pity but if somebody can please help with a rental, I would greatly appreciate it. We are good people and I am very handy and enjoy yardwork. Ideally, we would like to rent a rambler with 2 or more bedrooms. If at all possible, I'd like to keep the rent under $1000 a month and I do not have thousands of dollars to put down.
