ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB PCI-e Video card + FREE HALFLIFE 2 - $80 (Sammamish)
This is for a used ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCIe video card for a PC. Price is firm.
This video card has less than 80 hours of use. Works great. It has now been removed from its computer as you can see below and it will see no further use by me. When it was in use, it was in a high air-flow case, so it has been taken care of from a thermal perspective as well.
Let's talk performance...
At this price point, this card is very fast. It is faster than even some newer models like the nVidia 8600 GTS and also faster than the nVidia 7800 GS, and even TWO 6800 GTs in SLI configuration, and is also faster than TWO ATI X1650 Pros in CrossFire configuration and runs circles around an ATI X1300 or even the new ATI HD2600 Pro.
This X1950 Pro card is on par with the nVidia 7900 GT. Want an independent comparison chart? Tom's Hardware is an excellent resource and if you want to see this X1950 Pro card ranked with tons of other cards, click here and scroll down to the bottom of the chart and click "View all products." You should then find the X1950 Pro card in about the middle. For you gamer geeks, the linked benchmark uses the Prey THG-Timedemo (v2) (1280x1024x32, 4x AA, 8x AF, max Quality).
Note, please make sure you have at least a 450W power supply or one that says it is Crossfire/SLI Certified (yes, even though you may not be using it in Crossfire/SLI mode) as this video card requires its own power via a 6-pin PCI-E connector from your power supply.
This card does not support the optional VIVO (Video In, Video Out), which is used for video capturing and is the ONLY reason I am selling. However, it does have video OUT as the specs state it is HD ready.
I have the retail box and all contents (cables, crossfire link, etc). The UPC is cut from the side of the box, because I sent in a Mail-In-Rebate.
I have an extra copy of Half-Life 2 which I can "gift" to you officially via Steam. This will be a digital only transfer once you give me your Steam ID and pay for the card. Actually, you can CHOOSE between HL2 or HL2 Episode One if you like as I have extra copies on Steam of those. If you are unsure about the gifting process, it is legit and backed by Valve, and you can look it up on http://www.steampowered.com
