Sweet Dog looking for a "hospice" home (Issaquah)

Hello, I am a German Shorthaired Pointer female looking for a place to live out the rest of my days. My beloved owner has moved away because of a terminal illness and is never coming home again. I have already lived a long full life -- much longer than I was expected to live. I have a few tumors and have accidents sometimes, but this might be partially because I'm so depressed about my owner moving away. Despite my old age I still enjoy running around outside. I have been an "outdoor" dog and am used to sleeping in the garage.

I don't have anyone to take care of me properly anymore. The relatives have talked about putting me to sleep, but they don't have the heart to do it. They would prefer me to be able to live out the rest of my days with a loving person that has time to care for me.

I would really like to go to a home where I would have the freedom to run around outside. If I am to live inside, please have patience with me if I have an accident or two.

I am sad to post this but have some exciting life changes that force me to find my two wonderful cats a GREAT home. Both are buddies and it is important for me to make sure they stay together. One is a full breed Bengal (Lexie, female) and the other is an American Short Hair (Snoop, male). Both are about 3 years old and litter box trained. OK people, seriously? yes people flag adds. If you are asking a ridiculous amount of money for a "rehoming" fee, have an "oops" little and just happen to have both parents onsite, and the like. If you need to rehome a dog that's fine. if your add keeps getting flagged, i don't know what to tell you. Craigslist is not the only way to rehome a pet. There are plenty of rescues out there that aren't shelters. They are private org.'s with dogs being place directly into a foster home. Hell, they even have breed specific rescues, like Seattle Pug Rescue, People United for Pets (which is specific for small/ toy breeds), tons of Bully breed rescues in the area, and others. look at petfinder.com and find someone to rehome your purebred puppies/ dogs because chances are if you post a rehoming fee of $400.00, or ask people to contact you for rehoming fee, some one is going to FLAG YOU! ( and no i don't hate animals, don't want dogs/cats/small furries/ reptiles to die in shelters b/c of over-crowding. I own 2 rescued dogs myself, and am looking for #3 on here)

About 8 or 9 years old and was last at the vet 2 years back for updated shots etc. Johnny was grandpa's cat until dad died when I brought Johnny home. So I have little history other than the vet thinks he had once been a ferrel cat because his left ear is nipped and had been neutered.

Really good with other cats, dogs and kids as long as they do well in turn. Does NOT chase birds, mice or squirrels, so if wanting a mouse hunter he is not ! Even the neighbor's peacock, Johnny could care less about it. Go figure a cat who could care less about a 20 pound bird !

I have a Catahoula pup about 5 months old.
He's very loving, sweet and goofy but lately he's been being a big BUTTHEAD!
He's been chewing up EVERYTHING. He chew my $50 boots, $80 zoo york shoes, 2 pairs of my flip flops, my dads $100 boots, my clothes, the fake plants inside the house, the cell phone chargers etc. He knows he's not suppose to chew, because once we catch him doing so, he immediately runs and hides underneath my dads bed.
We can't coax him out from under there for life of us so we have to grab the back of his hide and pull him out. But I just discovered when we yell at him, he pee's everywhere!
Also, he keeps going down to the neighbors house and the landlord keeps calling saying the neighbors are complaining. So I keep having to go down there to grab him but he runs from me. Any time we let him outside, he NEVER comes. Even when I take a step towards him or say his name he just books off. I can't even get him to come to me if I have treats. The only time he comes is when he wants inside...but I HAVE to leave the door open and stand away from it turning my back or else he'll just run off. Then when I shut the door, he'll come back and jump on it so i'll go over to open it and he just runs off again.

My dad is getting pushed to the limit but i'm trying as hard as I can to fix these problems but nothing is working. He never comes when called when he's outside..only inside. And he chews things all the time...he knows he's not suppose to but he doesn't care if you're out getting groceries or if you're 5 feet from him.
I can't keep having him destroying our stuff, causing problems in the neighborhood and running away from us when he needs to COME. I've tried training him the basics of the word stay and come...he does it just fine inside but outside it's a whole different story.

I am looking for a home for my 3 yo., neutered, male, Bengal cat. Ari is a great cat and I have owned him since he was a kitten. But their breed is very energetic and my small apartment doesn't suit him well. He needs a home where he can also spend some time outside and have a larger area inside to relax. He is a pure bread complete with all papers and initial shots (he has just recently been going outside so he hasn't needed follow up shots). He has very limited contact with other cats and may not be suited for a home with other's. He has been around quite a few people at a time but has been mostly with me over the last year. He is not shy around people though and tends to walk up to neighbors. Included would be his cat box, food container, flowing water bowl and a carrier. I love him to death but it's not fair for him to be in such a small place. I paid $400 for him and am asking a reasonable re-homing fee of $100. If you are interested, and think you would provide a good home for him, please shoot me an email.

NOTE:Bengal's are considered an exotic breed and with that comes a different personality. They are highly energetic so do not expect a lap cat. They also will have a more difficult time acclamaiting to a new environment (especially since he's been in such a small living space). They are often said to be like dogs in their personality. Like a new dog, if you give him the run of the house from day one, you can expect him to get in to things he's not supposed to or have accidents. He is going to need some time and attention to get acclamaited and you should not expect him to be comfortable after a short period of time. Below are several links on the breed.

I am an outgoing, responsible working professional who is employed full time in Redmond. I am also currently in school so when I'm home I'm quiet and studying. I do have one very well behaved indoor cat. I can provide a pet reference from my current landlord if needed.

I would love to find a place on the Eastside or in the Carnation/Duvall/Fall City area. If you need help with your horses or need a house sitter I would love to trade for rent. I have 22 years of experience with horses, I've done all kinds of riding but my passion is for Dressage. I grew up in Pony Club and my family ran a boarding stable for many years in Issaquah so I am very experienced with the day to day running of a safe, well cared for barn. I have worked with all kinds of horses including foals, broodmares, young horses and stallions.

I have also owned and taken care of cats, dogs, birds, and small pets for most of my life. I even have a little bit of experience with reptiles. Just like the horses, I will give all animals the love and care that I would if they were my own. I am also an avid gardener and can help out with yard work when the weather turns around. Nala is a 4yr old female Husky mix. She is house trained and very good with children. She has been around both of my kids from birth. Nala is very playful with both people and other dogs. She hasn't been exposed to cats, so I don't know how she will do. Nala is an outdoor dog. She requires a backyard to play in and must have a decently high fence. Nala also comes with grooming supplies, Frontline flea meds, dog bones/rawhides and food bowls. All you would need for her are new toys.

Nala is a very sweet and loving dog, she would make a great addition to any family. We are only getting rid of her because we moved into a condo and no longer have a yard for her to play in. There is a small rehoming fee of $50 to make sure the adopting family is serious about keep her. The fee will be donated to PAWS.

* Over the shoulder Leash: Bring handle end over your shoulder opposite to the side you wish to walk your dog, across your back and up under your armpit. Attach that leash clip to the floating "o" ring to make a loop across your upper body. Attach your dog to other end and go!

* 3.5( 105 cm) ft Leash: Attach the clip on the handle end of the leash to the "o" ring which is sewed into the other end.

* Tether: Wrap the leash around an object. Attach the clip on the handle end to the floating "o" ring. Never leave your dog unsupervised while tethered.

* 20" Traffic Leash: Make a 3.25' Leash and then grab the floating "o" ring and slide it to the end of the leash opposite the clipped ends. Now bring the "o" ring back to the clipped end essentially folding the leash in half. Clip the floating "o" ring using the same clip that is attached to the fixed "o" ring.

* Waist Leash: Wrap leash around your waist and clip the snap hook to the floating ring. Clipping the snap directly to the floating ring will help it stay put instead of falling down like a loose pair of pants. Attach your dog and go!

* Walk 2 dogs: Simply attach one dog to each leash snap and hold the leash in the middle.

His name is kody and he is a sweet 5 yuear old standard poodle. He is currently not neutered. He is a little timid of adults at first but does warm up. He is very loyal and well behaved. He is really good with kids and all shyness goes away around them. Kody is up for adoption because we just do not have the time that Kody deserves.. He is livbing outdoors and would be happy with a move inside. He lives mostly alone right now and I would love to get him a new home soon. He has been an outdoor dog for the past 4 years and is trained to potty is designated locations. The first year of his life he lived outside in the day and insid ein the night and he was good about not going in the house. He isa very smart and will play as hard as you like or lay by your side all day/night. He is quite adaptable. He never has barked very much, if someone is around the house at night sometimes or maybe at some racoons. He is great wiyth other dogs, he loves to play. He has been exposed to our cats many times and we never had any problem but they never really had any chances to play that much. So let me guess. You woke up this morning and thought "hey, I'd really like a new companion. I think I'll look on craigslist for the perfect dog. One with a crooked tail and an underbite."

Well, here is your dog. He weighs about eleven pounds but has absolutely no concept of size. He loves fetch but rarely brings the ball back. His favorite thing to do is doze in your lap. He will sleep curled up against you underneath the covers at night, if you let him.

If you give him exercise, attention and discipline he will be the best dog ever. But he is clever and energetic and will make trouble if he's bored. And he needs a strong hand; he will be much happier and more relaxed if he knows you are in charge. If you have other dogs you'll have to know how to introduce them, and if you have kids you'll have to make sure they know how to handle dogs.

Haji is the most sweet, affectionate dog I've ever had. My situation has changed since I got him and I am away from home too much, and he is bored and lonely. He is only two years old. He deserves better. I am in no rush to get rid of him so your situation has to be better than mine. There is no rehoming fee, I just want him to have a good home. He is microchipped and neutered and has a kennel, leash, bed and toys.

Haji is very affectionate and sweet. He loves to snuggle and will sleep under the covers with you if you let him. He is also incredibly smart and absolutely full of energy. We were told she is 10 years old. But not 100% sure. She's VERY spunky, active, sweet and affectionate. If I were to guess how old she is, i'd say 5-6 years.
Her last owners dumped her on us, said they were going to pick her up but never showed. I am moving on Wednesday to Wenatchee and don't have the room to take her.
I already have another dog and the place i'm moving into only allows 1.
She's not spayed but if I remember correctly she is UTD on her shots. I really don't know much about her...but she is the sweetest little girl and is very happy.
Please don't make me have to take her to the pound. I don't want her to get put down! I've never seen a happier little girl!

Hi everyone,

Question for you - our lab loves to chew - he's still pretty young 3yo. Every evening our two dogs (one cocker - one lab), are inside with us and each get a rawhide bone. I'm ok purchasing rawhide - but is there a better chewtoy (bone shape) that can withstand a labbie? During the day they're fine as they're outside in our yard (although he does love chewing on anything "new" in the yard...can't wait until he outgrows this). He does get exercise so it's not that - he just destroys toys and it seems so far, rawhide has been the only "survivor" so to speak - I'm looking for ideas/thoughts for similar pet owners on items that keep their "chewers" focused on the items they can "love" versus those they can't....

The older cat takes a pill twice a day for hypothyroidism, but is very good with taking the medicine so long as it's tucked into a pill pocket. I am looking for someone who likes cats, is responsible, who can provide loving care for the cats in your own home for 2-3 months. I will cover the cost of cat food, kitty litter, and of course pills and pill pockets for the older cat. I have had these cats since they were kittens and do not want to part with them, but would like to take the opportunity to travel for a few months while I have the chance. I do not want to pay for costly cat boarding.

I�m looking to find a few dog owners in Kirkland/Redmond area interested in a �doggy play date exchange� kind of arrangement to expending some of that puppy energy and head off any bad behavior that stems from boredom.

Ideally best if dogs of similar age and breed, to grow in weight together. My dog is Labrador at 5-1/2 months old, currently about 32 pounds and anticipate will reach 60-70 pounds over next six months. We can meet at Marymoor dog park first time and see how it goes and if interested then start working out details of a regular exchange. I have an average sized, fully fenced yard so for example we could do a half day drop off play date exchanges if you have a fenced yard too. My dog is fully vaccinated with tags and currently taking obedience classes.

Your pet is a part of your family, right? So be extra sure that she will be returned to you if she gets out. Microchipping is great, but a simple, readable collar tag is essential in ensuring your pet's safe return.
You *could* also wear this yourself as a pendant or carry it as a keychain tag, with whatever text you want on it. You can fit quite a bit on it, so let's work together to create the design. The small size is great for cats as well!

A handcut piece of sturdy copper or nickel silver sheet is hand stamped with steel stamps, filed to remove sharp edges, then oxidized and polished to bring out the letters and make them easier to read from a distance. The metal is hammered for strength and will not easily bend.
I will contact you via email to verify the design requested, and confirm spelling/phone numbers. I'll make your tag once I have received confirmation that you're happy with the layout.
